The first one I remember is DBZ Budokai 2
And also that it is one of the best fighting games in historyMarvel vs Capcom 2, that announcer voice will forever be stuck with me
.Me too. First time I played it though, not a good experience.Yie Ar Kung-Fu arcade
Both Fighting Games Are AmazingThe first fighting game I ever played, I was over a friend's house and he brought over what I thought to be a Gameboy. But it looked nothing like it and played SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium on his Neo Geo Color.
But the first fighting game I owned was Soul Calibur 2. I mean, Nightmare is STILL the coolest dude I've ever seen.

.But it is not fighting game, but it has a competitive aspect to see if one of the two players scores more points in the game.
Mine was at our cities big mall. Cool ol classic arcade. Was 25¢ each play and after about $5 and failing miserably with the first opponent I gave up! I just couldn't get the combat down! Still can't! hahahaha!Me too. First time I played it though, not a good experience.
The machine was alone in a sack bar at my city zoo. My cousin's little son was with me and he just wanted to watch. Well, he started doing "color commentary" during me playing. "Hit him in the legs, kick him in the dick!" Was worse when fighting the female character "Hit her in the puss!" at which point adults came over and were saying for me not to be saying that with him right there. Im like "I didn't say it he did." The adults faces turned shocked when all sudden he blurted out "Punch her in the puss!"
Although Punch-Out! it is Boxing but counts as Fights because Boxing is considered a Martial Art and at the same time a Sport, although Double Dragon in Fighting mode is the one from the FC/NES version that had a B game mode where they fought between both characters in the game.If PunchOut doesnt count then probably Double Dragon. But by standard definition I would say Street Fighter 2
I remember that fighting mode in double dragon. What about Super Dodgeball on NES? Another super early game of mine. Not exactly fighting but the characters do have life bars. I might be breaking the definition of fighting game a bit with this oneI remember that fighting mode in double dragon. Good times

Okay, if it's 2 Players it's fun but in 1 Player it can be difficult to defeat the opponent in that mode.I remember that fighting mode in double dragon. Good times.
Oh!
