Some games are great experiences on their home hardware however when these experiences migrate to other less powerfull hardware or go portable the overall quality and experience might fall.

I could be due to a low budget, getting rushed hardware problems etc but in the end they have one in common: they are crap. So in your opinion what is the worst video game port ever made?

Here's a few

practically all the mega man mobile ports that capcom must have thought was a great idea to release :/ or for me anyways when i tried it out on the sony xperia z3 back then ... game was definitely *NOT* at 60 fps ... looked laggy compared to just using nestopia via retroarch to play mega man 5

GTA: Liberty and Vice City stories for PS2, for what I've heard they were pretty bad.

Silent Hill for the Game Boy Advance

(Haven't played it. VNs aren't bad, but it's not a good "port".)

Warcraft 2 the dark saga I think the first attempt at a RTS console port , I don't know If CNC did a port earlier but its one of the early ports and its awful.

The units lack the iconic and MUST BE pissed off voices , the spellcasting system is crap you have to press circle to open up command menu , the UI doesn't show up unless you click to turn it on in the settings , the units have 1 voice line for each game they keep repeating it over and over "yes yes yes yes YES" unless you load the game the voiceline changes , the orcs had their own death sound they only got 1 death sound for all units now and its the human one which can confuse you on who is dying off screen , also death and decay and death coil icons are swapped , not to mention the PS1 lacks control groups so you shove your ranged troops with your melee ones and if you know a thing about RTS that's a terrible thing to do , the only positives I could think of are 18 units control instead of 9 you can select double the amount of units on ps1 compared to pc , the intro is pretty cool with the name WarCraft sliding on the screen and you are shown orcs making warcrafts like catapults and a human making swords , and the world map for this version is pretty cool add on it the unique cutscenes it has.

OutRun on the Sinclair Spectrum! I had it for Christmas when I was a kid and it was so bad it made me cry

Borderlands 3. The framerate there is so shit, that even Payday 2 handles it SO much better.

I haven't played it but Sonic 1 on the GBA is up there
Then there's a guy, Stealth, that have made a competent tech demo of the game showing Sega how it's made.

Maybe Mortal Kombat on the GB?

The worst port that I know of would have to be Time Commando for the Sega Saturn.

It's a clear case of a port that was forcibly rushed out to market. Not just cause of how poor the game looks and runs compared to the PC/PSX versions (or hell, compared to most 3D Saturn games even), but also cause the game contained a fatal crash which makes it impossible to beat the game if using the original disc. There are ports that are bad to the point you don't bother finishing, but this is one where you can't even finish it even if you wanted too.

Castlevania Symphony of the Night on Sega Saturn (adds new content and a better Maria moveset but infamously runs godawful)
A Hat in Time on Switch (faded and blurry color, no Hat Kid expressions, that one ladder soft lock they had to patch)
PSP Persona 1 (yeah let's up the encounter rate, totally won't annoy people)
Mega Man & Bass on GBA (mmm mmm MMM that's a crunchy screen)
Atelier Marie/Elie on Dreamcast (it had a virus)
Sonic Spinball on Game Gear (more screen crunch)
Metal Slug on PS1 (just look at the video comparing it to Saturn, it's awful)
Sonic 2 on Game Gear (hell on earth is made infinitely worse when you can't see in front of you)
Danganronpa 2 on Switch (try pausing, count the seconds it takes to become responsive)
AtGames in general
Anything unfortunate enough to be ported to Stadia

For me, maybe It's a hot take but Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater on the 3DS.
