What is the worst case of you being shot down while dating?

Dating is a hard subject and many relationships don't work out. Often times the reason is so odd that it is worth sharing, so what's your most odd reasons for heartbreak?

I tried to date an Indian woman once that I worked with. She rejected me because she knew her parents wouldn't accept me because I was white.

I have many more stories but would like to hear from all of you.

I have a thing for short chubby woman that are really funny and Sreehara was the best.

It's not something I like to revisit, but there was this time when someone made fun of my brackets, using them as their whole justification for shooting me down... and that was basically it — they hated that I wore brackets (not subtle ones, exactly, but still...!).
