gumball and darwin go around asking people this very question. Sussie had the best answer. i don't remember the full quote but i found a couple of snippets,
"Life is about the journey, and making friends along the way,"
"The true meaning of life is finding your own way to enjoy it."

Might sound a little simple, but for me, the meaning of life is to live. If you reproduce, enjoy life, etc, that is a bonus.

I don't really believe in god, fate, astrology, or the political compass. That being said, I think we're the one part of the universe that can study itself in hopes of truly knowing itself. That's what I think our cosmic charge is.

To all of you motherfuckers saying shit like "the meaning of life is doing things that make other people happy", I hope you die knowing that the world was a measurably better place by having people like you in it and acting upon that philosophy.

Spoiler: Anyway. Here's what my interpretation of it is.

I'm not sure what "meaning" would refer to, but something that always gives every moment of my life a lot more weight is remembering that I was not here for billions of years, maybe trillions, maybe forever. When I'm gone, I'll be gone for billions of years, maybe trillions, likely forever. Every moment I live, suffer through or enjoy, is the last version of that moment that I will ever experience. Every smile I saw and every frown I made were the last of their kind, here for a blink. I will never be again. The fact that I am now is incomprehensible to me. I think about that every day. It brings me joy and it brings me pain.
