Chilling with the family, so I guess peace? Trying to have a good day consistently maybe (just like what Ice Cube says)
I don't get it.
It's a character from Lego Movie 2 who is a shape shifter, queen Watevra Wa'Nabi (pronounced "queen whatever I wanna be").I don't get it.
I'm sorry but what do you mean by that? Of course many modern philosophers and thinker are taking elements from Socrates, Plato, Aristotle among other from Antiquity. There's a lot of parroting here which isn't entirely a bad thing. And my answer will be along the same lines.
The universe is quite meaningless, existing just almost entirely without life to observe any of it. One of the more disturbing thoughts of mine is that it is entirely possible we are the only planet with life, and we the "most intelligent form" of it which in some ways is quite sad. The ultimate end of everything if taken to heart saps grand meaning from everything, leaving behind only the small personal meaning, which more or less is what you said. There is no other time than now, past is memories and future is speculation you can at best be only kinda sure about. There's a lot of parroting here which isn't entirely a bad thing. From what I've experienced in life it really boils down to "Just do you man" of you're living a life that you find satisfying then you're good. Fuck what other people think, including parents, extended family, significant other and friends. If you're not happy with the current trajectory of your life, change something, find a way to get a different perspective, FIND a way to make your life meaningful to you and no one else.
I'll be honest, considering the Fermi Paradox I am relieved if we knew we were alone. One of the more disturbing thoughts of mine is that it is entirely possible we are the only planet with life, and we the "most intelligent form" of it which in some ways is quite sad.
Surely, I have a certain respect to the stereotype of a farmer town/rural "hick" in a bar talking about something to his friends starting off with "Well I ain't the sharpest one in the rack, but I thinks..." - Simple people knowing their simplicity almost like they're well aware of the greener patches of their grass. Unintelligent people who think they are intelligent are the ones to dislike, not necessarily hate but usually are at least a bit of a pain.I'll be honest, considering the Fermi Paradox I am relieved if we knew we were alone.
Also I'd say that Intelligence is a relative concept because Dolphins, rats and crow are also quite intelligent yet cannot compose a song (well, not as we know) nor produce art (even animals painting are only trained to hold a brush).
I'd also think that intelligence is either a gift or a curse depending of whom.
the truest answer lies herein, some funny strangely hostile responses in the last page but that's exactly what i meant by 'prompts saucy debate', lul. hook line and sinker for 0 effort required, while also spurring some to reflect meaningfully on the question, a job well done
Sadly the Internet acted as a catalyst for these people... Narcissism and pseudo-Intellect have been encouraged thanks to algorithms giving more views (especially when there are people being counter-argumentative when something wrong have been told by someone).Unintelligent people who think they are intelligent are the ones to dislike, not necessarily hate but usually are at least a bit of a pain.
I didn't mean it as a a negative comment. Many people are saying things along the lines of 'Life is what you make it' which I believe is 100% true. I just added some of my own points from experience.I'm sorry but what do you mean by that? Of course many modern philosophers and thinker are taking elements from Socrates, Plato, Aristotle among other from Antiquity.
If you want saucy, then I'll say that the meaning of MY life is to praise and worship Bass.all very valid and earnest replies, thankyou to everyone for sharing. clearly and demonstrably the question itself holds more meaning and esteem to some than it does to others, somehow offending (??zoomers prolly lul) a couple of people merely by the casual way i phrased the initial question, regardless i appreciate all of the responses.
obviously the generic catchall reply to the question is "life what u make of it/whatever you want it to be/like a box of chawwwcccllits" etc etc,
these are perfectly valid responses to have.
they are,
however, and this is with full love and respect,
kind of basic boring answers.
i need something a little saucier to get my philosophy jimmes crinkled these days.
like i need someone to come out the woodwork with a random ass like
"The meaning of life to me, personally, is to infect myself with rabies with somewhat questionably sexual intent."
that'd be the good stuff, thanks all
Same, but Miku. Finally, time for honest answers! If you want saucy, then I'll say that the meaning of MY life is to praise and worship Bass.
It's a good thing Bass is both the coolest robot, and the coolest instrument, so I can praise Him whenever I play.If you want saucy, then I'll say that the meaning of MY life is to praise and worship Bass.
