What gaming "alternative timeline" would you like to see?

The timeline where game companies don't treat their consumer base as their enemy.

The timeline where gaming enthusiasts who became video game magazine writers & reporters didn't get pushed out of the niche industry they built.

The timeline where video games stayed a niche hobby.

Well that mostly American companies they hate people and they hate money sure you got some Japense ones like Nintendo but that becuse Nintendo got shit for brain and think just because they saved gaming back in the 80s they are still the gods of gaming.

But most Asian companies love their fans hence why we see much much good games from them also thank good they are not brained washed with DEI crap.

Anyway What time line I wish to see is one in which where PC Engine was the dominant console in which NEC still made consoles imagine getting the newest NEC console to play the Newest YS game.

Probably sega making something to rival the PS4 and beyond with loads of their titles like outrun, streets of rage, daytona all making massive comebacks i know we got some of these but sega on a sega console is what im getting at.

The timeline where video games stayed a niche hobby.
Then how the industry would improve and companies wouldn't think "hmm no oppurtinity to make money by it" so video gaming wouldn't die altogether? ¿¿¿How??? lol

This video was recorded from the timeline you wanted and thanks to it I'm a Super Saiyan now lolol:

Ah man, SOOO many to go with...

1: SEGA skipping 32X in favor of a standalone SVP cartridge for Genesis/MegaDrive

2: NEC & Hudson actually redesigning Tetsujin into a capable 3D/2D console with that MJPEG decoding feature instead of the lukewarm PC-FX that actually launched

3: SEGA not rushing Saturn's Western release by several months

4: SEGA not cancelling Saturn versions of Streets of Rage or Eternal Champions

5: FM Towns Marty 2 being an actual spec revision

6: CD32 American shipments not getting held up in customs so Commodore doesn't go bankrupt

7: SEGA maybe actually taking the M2 or the GPU that'd eventually go into Gamecube, delay Dreamcast by a year, add in DVD-ROM support and give Saturn a final year's-worth push

8: Ken Kutaragi never leaves PlayStation

9: Sony never moves PlayStation's headquarters to California

10: Nintendo adds DVD-ROM support to Gamecube as standard

11: Satoru Iwata never passes away

12: Kenji Eno never passes away

13: Akira Toriyama never passes away

14: Microsoft never promotes Phil Spencer to head Xbox. If unable to find a better replacement, then just spin off/sell the Xbox division to an outside company in 2014 like they wanted (or shut it down)

15: Fortnite and PUBG never became popular

16: GTAV never became a massive seller

17: Minecraft never became popular

18: Arcades (REAL arcades) never died off

19: SNK made more realistic specs for Neo Star and released it instead of Neo Geo CD

20: NEC & Hudson made more substantial upgrades to SuperGraphX

21: Atari never cancelled the Panther, and delayed Jaguar by 3 years (so 1996 launch) for better hardware and better software support

A timeline where the Saturn took the PS1's place as the lead 32-bit platform.

Considering what PlayStation's become today? 1,000,000% agreed!

M2 upgrade to 3DO was released with support from Capcom to have Power Stone as a launch game.

Squaresoft signed a deal to exclusively release Final Fantasy games to Sega (SAT) instead of Sony (PS1).

A timeline where horse armor in the original Oblivion the Elder Scrolls for XBOX 360 sold 0 and DLC never became popular among publishers. Microsoft never thought of paid online for consoles. Cosmetic DLC was also an utter failure.

Not gaming in general but I always wanted to see the timeline where FF Versus XIII was made without any complications. Damn even today when I launch trailers from 2009 it makes me sad that most of this was scrapped and made into FFXV which wasn't that bad but that which makes versus trailers interesting even today was setting and atmosphere.

SegaCD and 32x are never made and all their games go to the SEGA Saturn even if they don't get visual improvements, this would be amazing.
To this day I can't accept the fact that on my beloved Saturn I can play so many arcade perfect or almost arcade perfect ports, but Final Fight CD isn't on it. Imagine Final Fight CD with that incredible OST on the Saturn. I don't and never had a Sega CD or 32x (I do have mega drives of course) so I would have loved for this to be the case.

One where Nintendo took Sega's path regarding fanprojects and endorsed and even supperted them instead of, you know, Suetendo

Oh, In addition to the timeline where DLC and microtransactions don't exist AND games aren't released until they're 100% completed I'd also like for said timeline to have any and all retro games for $5 USD or less (or the equivalent thereof if you don't live in the U.S.) as well as a video game industry that isn't overrun by corporate greed and Square Enix isn't run by a bunch of failsons.

I still go back and watch those old trailers sometimes, it was one of the biggest reasons why I wanted a PS3 back in the day. It probably doesn't exist, but I hope one day some sort of playable beta or demo leaks online so that I can have some closure lol.

The timeline where we got the completed Dinosaur Planet on the N64.

Starfox Adventures would never have been released or made, and Rare would have come out with one of the most influential and amazing games in that era.

I think shit would be a lot different.

I always thought that Sega Saturn was a console designed for 2D games: A SNES killer. However, the release of the PS1 with 3D-oriented hardware ruined everything in terms of hardware design. Hence the poor decision to make it have a multi-core processor, something unthinkable for the time.

What would have happened if, instead of all the add-ons like the Sega CD or Sega 32x, Sega had made a console powerful enough to make an outstanding port of Daytona USA?

A timeline where these two games didn't get cancelled.

Capcom at least closing the ZX advent and Legends trilogies

One where the Konix Multi-System actually came out and the Amiga CD 32 didn't bankrupt Commodore
