Frankly, if there was one thing I'd like to see in remakes it would be gameplay improvements. I don't care much about resolution or polygon count. Games like Koudelka or Final Fantasy 8 come to mind. They look fine as they are but they could use some tweaks to the mechanics.

Good point. Koudelka was criminally overlooked. It played great but come on honestly admit it: It looked like ass. Tweak the gameplay, add some Q.O.L. improvements and give it a new coat of paint and you have game of the year material there.

Honestly, I think it would be awesome if the original Deus Ex got the same treatment as the recent Oblivion remaster. Since it's already a brilliant game, it just needs a new coat of paint.

It'd also be nice if Thief 1 and 2 got a similar treatment that the Tomb Raider games and Soul Reaver games got. Once again, a new coat of paint to re-introduce them to a new crowd.

But the game that I'd want most for a remake, is probably TimeSplitters Future Perfect. Just imagining all of the things you'd be able to do with an improved map maker would be enough to entice me to get it.


Why not the superior 1982 Hobbit game?
Not that there's anything wrong with the 2003 game. It's just that the 1982 game is a masterpiece.

I'm down with the OG Deus Ex, things got kinda crappy as the series went on. there's actually a mod for the OG D.E. called GMDX that bumps that game up to like 20 gigs

Devil May Cry 2. I've always loved the style of DMC 2, it's just the gameplay that it falls short at. It just needs to HD graphics with the same style of the original and DMC 5 like gameplay.

Devil may cry was cool, but I gotta be honest, I jumped ship as soon as Bayonetta came out. Better game, MUCH better main character. 100% less winey

What's wrong with VH2's combat system? I know many players have criticized it, but I never understood why. The dynamic of the enemy acting at the same time as your unit I always found very original, not to mention that the CPU becomes quite predictable.

I just like the traditional Combatsystem much more. yeah VH2´s System was Original, but imo not really good at all.

FF7 was the first Final Fantasy Europeans got, and for the time the FMVs, the Aerith-thing and much more where phenomenal imo. I finished this game at least 8 times. I have to mention that the german translation was pretty poor.

I desperately need the Midnight Club games on modern consoles and PC, they've been stuck in their original consoles for too long, even if you can emulate some of them easily, MC:LA is still stuck on the Xbox 360.

the oblivion remake did not interest me nearly as much as all the cool fan projects (skywind, daggerfall unity, openMW, morrowinds modding community in general, etc) that have been released/are in active development.

After seeing Konami put out that collection of their TMNT arcade games. I'd love to see Activision remaster/rerelease their Spider-Man games. Ideally the games be split into console era's. PS1, PS2, And PS3. Chances are it will never happen due to copyrights and an unwillingness to split profits between Sony, Activision, and Marvel. But it would make me smile to open up a game and look at my childhood gathered in one piece of software.

Additional bullet points on my wishlist would be your general improvements like frame rates, resolution, and improved textures. Along with concept art, promotional material like posters, ads, and trailers. Even better if there were a Collectors Edition with posters and a statue of some kind on top of it

i did play the remake of wild arms 1
its wild arms alter code F
i find the remake to have more details when it comes to dungeons and towns and i really like that some dungeons and towns are bigger than they was in the original game

i find it a really good remake and i really enjoyed playing it
but still i like the original game more
the remake is good and really well made

the ost in the remake is close to the original ost and gives the same feeling as the original ost

the remake do have alot of changes but i find it to be for the better and more fun

the new puzzles are a challenge and fun to solve

story in the remake they did add a little more to the story and that i my mind just add more to the game because they did just add smal things to the story to make it better

as extra it was fun to be able to have
jane emma zed in party but i did not really like either of the characters but it was a fun extra thing in the game

the only 2 things i did not like in the game was
1 you can not buy healing items that was annoying
2 the abyss and ka dingel both of these dungeons was to big it was so annoying

Just because we do not like the same things and you don't have all the information to support your statement is no reason to call me a Troll. So here we go again.... the character models in FF 7 look like they were drawn by a 5 year old, I've always hated the real time bar thing, having to navigate the Vaseline smeared looking pre rendered backgrounds is a chore, The pacing and presentation blows ( I spend hours watching silent characters move from screen to screen), insane dialogue choices, infrequent plot points, random encounters every two steps, i could go on and on. This game is SO overrated, when Square decided to crap this turd out into the US NO ONE knew anything about rpgs, but all of a sudden here comes a game with a expansive world to explore and a story, it was so different than anything before that all the Otaku here declared it the best thing since sliced bread. Yet all the gamers in the know weren't fooled and stuck with Dragon Quest, Ys and the other topnotch classic (and 2d) rpgs. Is all this good enough for you MemeAlert?
