This but any FF game that’s not 7 for once. 7’s so greedy while 6 didn’t get ONE

No. Like FFVII remake for instance. They had chibis in the original, and in the remake they have realistically proportioned characters. They didn't make better chibis, they just replaced them with a different style.Oh you mean like Secret of Mana?
Well the Secret of Mana Remake does look cheap.No. Like FFVII remake for instance. They had chibis in the original, and in the remake they have realistically proportioned characters. They didn't make better chibis, they just replaced them with a different style.
But I'm gonna mention good examples of this not happening: Spyro, Crash.
Secret of Mana was an attempt to preserve the style but in 3D. People didn't like the result, but a big part of that is people are infinitely more forgiving of pixel art than 3D, and how cheap it was. Still, we could've finally had some example of HD pixel art. Does that even exist or is something pixel art lends itself to? Cause almost every pixel art game I see has base resolution of 270p, 360p, or about that.
Damn, that’s roughyour lips to my ears, as an ffviii fan
square recently released beautiful art for ffvii's anniversary, and ffix's anniversary, and genuinely did nothing for ffviii's anniversary
Sounds cheap too. The music being dukey is one of the things people talked about. The actually good version of Danger went completely unused tooWell the Secret of Mana Remake does look cheap.
Don't feel too bad for them. Squenix released FF VIII Remastered more recently than it did IX, and they'll probably look to it once IX is remade and perhaps successful. I think with IX they probably believe they can make something that leans more on aesthetic than detail, while VIII may look like an VII-like affair to them and it'd have to be a remake with several A's attached that they can't make now, so they aren't paying it too much attention.Damn, that’s rough
Squall deserves better
