Homebrew What game development projects are you working on?

Right now I am making a Halo fan project, a space shooter where the protagonist are the Covenant.

Lets just say I have a list of projects I want to finish before 2030

My first project is my WarCraft 3 balance mod under the name "legends of azeroth" you can check it if you are interested as I have a link for it in my profile idk where exactly.

My second project will be a WarCraft 2 balance mod that gives each unit something unique from its counterpart along with campaign changes like making cities look like cities instead of randomly placed farms.

My third project is titled "realistic generals" its a mod that aims to make CNC generals into a realistic RTS where line of sight is abysmal of vehicles and infantry are the main deal along with making aircraft actually capable.

These are 3 of my projects that I want to release to the public.

Personal projects or mods include:

Age of mythology rebalance where everything takes one population and no limit on houses along with tons of balance changes.

Sudden strike 2 rebalance where I fix the weak infantry and buff allied tanks along with some underpowered units in german and Japanese armies.

These are all the data mods I plan/worked on

Now for the future campaign/scenarios these are stories for WarCraft 3 and will be made using the map editor its going to have a list of custom scenarios each with its own individual story and gameplay some will have you traverse through the cold alterac mountains with only a handful of soldiers and limited healing , others will have you run around the map finding small bands of orcs to build up an army to defeat the 3 human bases in the center of map.

And finally my ultimate and what I want to be my final project is the Human saga a collection of human struggles against various enemies in azeroth separated into 4 campaigns with each having unique gameplay from normal RTS to RTT and single unit control with ability to equip a variety of weapons to puzzles and more.

I don't think I can do all these in a year or 2 so yeah deadline is 2030

Working on a Yume Nikki fangame, and simultaneously I'm conceptualizing a game I'll work on afterwards that'll be an original concept, but more to come, I love fiddling around with game development

I should make something. I push the idea around in my head every so often, but I guess I'm worried that nobody would want to play it. I feel like the indie game market is very oversaturated today and discoverability has become a major problem as tons of new games are added to Steam every single day. It's like, unless you have a very novel idea than probably nobody will play it. Hell, you might even have a fantastic idea but maybe nobody plays it because they don't know it exists; it's almost like advertising is more important than the game itself. Even free games are often ignored.

But I do love the idea. I've been pushing around an idea in my head which I haven't seen in any other games, so it would be cool to make it even just to explore that concept. I don't want to talk about it too much in case I end up doing it after all, but basically a game in a certain style that uses mixed media to create a very specific visual style that I haven't seen anyone else do yet.

Believe in your idea! I often think like that too but it shouldn't stop you.

Mine has a combat system similar to the one of the GB version of Quest 64

I haven't worked on them in a while, but there are two projects I have on the back burner:

1. NES Adventure Visual Novel Demo (short murder mystery to build up a few skills)
2. Mystery Dungeon game where you have to sell the stuff you find for your eBay store.
