Right now I am making a Halo fan project, a space shooter where the protagonist are the Covenant.

Working on a Yume Nikki fangame, and simultaneously I'm conceptualizing a game I'll work on afterwards that'll be an original concept, but more to come, I love fiddling around with game developmentRight now I am making a Halo fan project, a space shooter where the protagonist are the Covenant.

Believe in your idea! I often think like that too but it shouldn't stop you.I should make something. I push the idea around in my head every so often, but I guess I'm worried that nobody would want to play it. I feel like the indie game market is very oversaturated today and discoverability has become a major problem as tons of new games are added to Steam every single day. It's like, unless you have a very novel idea than probably nobody will play it. Hell, you might even have a fantastic idea but maybe nobody plays it because they don't know it exists; it's almost like advertising is more important than the game itself. Even free games are often ignored.
But I do love the idea. I've been pushing around an idea in my head which I haven't seen in any other games, so it would be cool to make it even just to explore that concept. I don't want to talk about it too much in case I end up doing it after all, but basically a game in a certain style that uses mixed media to create a very specific visual style that I haven't seen anyone else do yet.
