Body-cam realistic graphics, huge open world, romance options, deep character creation, rich discord implementation, coop multiplayer, AI powered chatting with NPCs, and whatnot and congratulations you would develop a game new generation kids would love lol.

God help the new generation.

I would suggest getting the basic gameplay going before worrying too much about the story details, to be honest.

The most important thing is to get started.
Yup that’s probably the thing I should worry about first

1+ this.

Never think about story, setting, aesthetic, visuals or whatever until you have the basic gameplay loop in your head or written down somewhere.

Thanks, I’ll do that, I already have the boss fights planned
It's gotta have a half-decent story though unless the gameplay is fairly epic. Good luck with it. ( It doesn't really if you just want to get one out and improve next time)

Maybe give the game a little bit of in depth plot chemistry without getting too philosophical if that’s the way to put it and for whatever type of genre you plan on making the game (From what it sounds like to me drama) there could be a bit of overlapping comical or joyful elements within to maybe not make seem likes it’s too much of what it is. But all in all, I can’t wait to see or get more of a touch of whatever you have up your sleeves. Because this all sounds like something I’d very much enjoy👍❤️

Quirky Earthbound Indie RPG, with Rogue-like deck building, zombies, battle royale, microtransactions, on disc DLC, mmorpg with unreal engine 7 DLSS 64 and can only run on a Nividia 970ti

A little bit of character growth as the story threads on. How their journey shaped them in a very positive way.❤️

I like these ideas
Quirky Earthbound Indie RPG, with Rogue-like deck building, zombies, battle royale, microtransactions, on disc DLC, mmorpg with unreal engine 7 DLSS 64 and can only run on a Nividia 970ti
and the game is not based off of Earthbound, it’s based of One Shot and Deltarune

Like in Hylics, right?
Hmm IDK about that but since I played Craftopia I had so much fun with chatting with NPCs that even animals by typing your message and AI answers you by being in the character lol. If this had used properly it will evolve RPGs. So you won't have to choose dialogue options, you can decide what to say as much as how tabletop RPGs are. This is the way to develop real RPGs lol.

Was a joke, but this is certainly not the future I hope for in RPGs or video games, any more than I want to see AI designing characters or environments.

Don't remove creativity from the creative process.

That's another topic but you kinda have no choice if you wanna actually interact with NPCs in a realistic way. No one can program and prepare an NPC in a way you can tell anything to it and it would react to it and have a conversation in a realistic way. The only way is AI lol. I can easily see such RPGs becoming so popular people will talk to NPCs so you would need a mic to be able to play the game or just type text message lol.

Why do we need that?

You also can't talk with a book, but you read the story and enjoy what the author has crafted.

I want to hear the authors artistic intentions, not have a conversation with AI.

Getting off topic at this point anyhow, I don't think OP was looking for recommendations on how to incorporate AI into their game.

Perhaps thus it can give idea for OP lol.

You are clearly not a tabletop RPG gamer, because then you would understand how bad CRPGs are because of preset dialogues for you which prevent CRPGs from trully an RPG. You may be used to RPG video games in the "wrong way they are" but it doesn't mean they are okay and can be an RPG as much as how tabletop RPGs can be. That's why this is beyond art, this is making CRPG an RPG as much as how tabletop RPGs can be so CRPGs can trully become an RPG so I can choose my own dialague options, not have to limited by what the developer want me to say and thus will get rid of delusion and illusion of choices and dialogues. I understand how it's impossible for a human so our RPG Jesus is AIs and no one can deny that lol. Still it won't human control and art go away because it still would take huge human effort to set the AI in a "make sense" and "good experience" way. AI is not magic, it can only do how a human programmed it and a human is needed to make it ensure it can do something a human can find it make sense and enjoyable.

I don't care about developers' "artistic intention" to prevent me from being myself in RPGs. This is not the point or goal of an RPG. In that regard no CRPG ever could be a true RPG and we don't have to be limited by ancient and wrong way to develop RPGs just because some people want a limited and guided art to direct players like a sheep. To me this is no different than demanding AAA games to still have pixel graphics lol. Video games can be better so it shouldn't be limited by subjectivity. Have the tech and use it to evolve video gaming.

AI will rock your world and finally make video games significant, but I don't mean AI generated assets like model, textures and stories. Even when AI generates it will take a human to decide which AI generated content is okay or not. I mean to develop a more realistic and more life-like video game you need AI because it's impossible for humans due to lack of time and budget. By using AI what a human cannot work on and cannot generate can be possible so we won't have to play lazy BS low quality lack of content games anymore. When you play empty games of today do you appreciate how lazy and greedy the "artists" are? lol. If people were necessarily able to produce decent art your argument would make sense but most of video games in the whole history make me facepalm due to bad human decision, laziness and lack of vision. This may be an attempt of art but this is not a decent art, and I rather prefer AI generated game at this point lol. After all what I care is decent fun games, not an art to appreciate lol.

If it was up to me I would ask for an AI that can spam a video game in the way I want so I will get rid of video game industry from my life for good but all I can do right now is developing my own games and I don't have lifetime for that sorry, AIs would save my time lol.

Don't hate AIs that much, dude. You look like people who hated factories and machines lol. "How could you drive a car when riding a horse better? Horses have emotions, they love you but can your car love you?" is what you sound like as your opinion is modern take of how people reacted to technological changes lol. I respect your preference so it's my preference lol. We don't have to almost die due to cold weather just because you hate fire and you prefer to cut a big animal and get inside of it to survive lol. Carry on.

Were you making the Dungeon Master™ choose your dialogues and decisions, fam? lol

Whole tabletop RPG fun is in the way you come up with one liners for fun, and then make your decisions. I guess you are one of those players who obey your master and do what you are scripted to do. This is no RPG, this is just being a pawn of the storyteller lol.

I think you're projecting an awful lot onto this conversation, I'll leave it at that.

Mhm, you cannot come up with your own dialogues for sure. Your irrelevant generic reply proves plenty. You don't know about psychology to make your reply have any effect so your skill check failed lol. You probably don't play DnD neither and if you do it's clearly not playing, you are being played lol. All we see is your hate for AI just because you are a generic person who believes in generic stuff just because it's what generic people chant like a mantra lol. You clearly not a person who can have your own opinions, your irrelevant book analogy proves it which doesn't even makes sense lol. Next time bring your whole party and Dungeon Master™ and Imma slay you guys one by one with my words by putting on Reynalt of Soroi mask so hard you would never play tabletop RPG ever again. Stick with your 4-wheel bike CRPGs ayy lmao. You are like playing Fallout 4 and you just choose "generic reply that sounds like a finisher" lol. I didn't hear such reply since highschool and often popular girl of the schools reply like that ayy lmao.
