What are your favourite sound effects in gaming?

I love the chuckling sound Intro Cranky, Very/Really Gnawty and Krusha make in SNES Donkey Kong Country, also the noise that Krusha and K. Rool make when they're hit in SNES Donkey Kong Country.

I do like them. A bit less in CD though.

I really liked that in SA1 they did the same sound but got disappointed that SA2 onwards changed that.

Spinball was an odd one but I loved that jingle.

I think the 1-up from Adventure and the subsequent games a remix of the Chaos Emerald Jingle from the Classics?

Oh yeah, especially with that loud machinery sound.

id Software are masters at sfx imo.

Ultrakill got quite the nice sound design as well

- The sound of Abe chanting in Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee
- Serious Sam's jump sound effect
- The sound of firing the Portal Gun
- The sound of a grunt choking to death on its own blood in Duke3D
- The sound of shields recharging in the Halo series

I absolutely love Abe's Oddyssey's motion sensor lasers from the stockyard.
