So, recently my girlfriend bought tickets for this emo band show here in São Paulo (Brazil). Not really my style, and honestly, back when the whole emo wave hit Brazil in the early 2000s, I completely ignored it. But whatever, I went along to support her and just have a good time.
The whole time she kept saying the one band she was really excited to see was Emery. Man... when they started playing, it hit me like a punch in the face how good they were!
Ever since that night, I think I’ve been listening to their stuff pretty much every day.
