What are some of your other hobbies?

hmmmm i see, so true

I wrote a novel! In late 2020, after I'd graduated and the pandemic had taken over the world, I no longer had any excuses for not doing something creative with my life, so I made a pact to myself – within three years, I HAD to fully write, edit, and finalize an original, professional-quality narrative intended for print. If I didn't at that point (my early 20s) I knew I'd probably never get the chance again, and would spend the rest of my life as a fat loser who worked in an aluminum can processing plant. After many, many false starts and failed ideas, I finally found the perfect concept, and got to work.

Each draft (of three, plus one additional proofreading micro-draft right at the end), took about a year to complete, give or take. (I took maybe around one month's worth of total break for each year I spent on it.) I'd never done anything creative at all before, but I really loved the process – crafting out my own characters and storyline, seeing them grow in tandem with one another, and building up a complete, cohesive plot over endless iterations. It was, while a lot of work, also a lot of fun, and I'm so glad to have had the experience. I did finish on time – I ended the last edit on the day I started, three years later.

In the year that's passed since, I've pitched the book to about 84 (gulp) different publishing agencies, which has taken up most of my free time. I have no grand delusions that the story will ever get picked up, but I've had the chance to present it to some really exclusive and interesting big-wigs, so... y'never know! Even if it gets totally rejected by everyone, though, I'm still glad to have done it, because it means that my life wasn't totally impotent. I have no idea if I'll ever work on a project like this again, but at least I can say I did it once.

Oh, and, uh, old TV shows, specifically from the 2000s. That's the big other hobby. DON'T TOUCH THAT DIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't give up! Writers Catherine Dang and Yu Tanaka finished their first novels talking about how hard it was to get someone to trust them. Even household names like Brain Jacques, Richard Adams and JK Rowling had the door slammed in their faces before they redefined literature forever.

You have already done the hardest part.

I love old cars (youngtimers and oldtimers). I've had a few of them, currently I own 2004 Peugeot 206 RC and Mercedes 1995 C-Class C200.
In past I've had for example 1988 Mercedes E-Class W124, 1985 Skoda 105 L, 1990 Polish Fiat 126 BIS, 1986 Volkswagen Scirocco II GTX, 1971 Fiat 124 Sport Spider, 1996 Honda Prelude, 1991 Opel Calibra and 1983 Maserati Quattroporte.

But my main interest is history. I even completed a master's degree in this field and I am currently working in a museum.

I like to reading, watching movies, listening music too!

Oh, one more thing while we're talking about academia! I'm also heavily, heavily into professional communication. I've always loved listening and talking to people more intelligent than me (everyone), and I think that the way people interact and engage with each other, especially in the modern age, is extremely interesting.

During my final year of university, I taught a professional communication course at my alma mater to a bunch of sophomores, and it was a fantastic experience! There are so many social dynamics surrounding how we speak and present ourselves these days, and it all changes so fast, that understanding even a small element of it is fulfilling.

If you're at all interested in the topic, or just want a general way of improving your relationships with other people, I cannot recommend Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People enough. It's become a cliche, these days, but that's because the book has quite literally never been irrelevant, and I think the lessons in it are far more valuable now than they were when it was written in the 1930s. (If you like that, I also highly recommend Carnegie's How to Stop Worrying and Start Living and Spencer Johnson's Who Moved My Cheese?)

Fr tho , I spend the last 3 years on academia that every spare time I have is gone to video games or playing card with the boiz ,but now since I quit fo le financial reasons , I had to focus on learning code so I can find a job as a dev
But I really really want to create an animation or a game, or any me project ,I used to do stuff like that as a kid but now I really can't find the time

Programming games from scratch in C and never finishing them

Outside of gaming, that is.

Me? I love dancing and playing baseball.

I may not be particularly great at either, but I find them both extremely fun and relaxing.

What about you?
I Usually Do Art In My Free time and post it online if it's worth While, examples are below
I also make rather crappy review videos on my YT account

I read, write and build models when I am not playing video games. I am disabled and have no life, so I have plenty of time on my hands.

play video games music radio exercise write raps freestyle (well I try) fb read radio and make friends

I decided in 2025 I will finally draw every day, become good, then famous, then you guys will be able to say you knew me before I was famous.
Can I get an autographed original print from you before you get popular? I won't sell it, promise. ;)

I love to draw, make collages, read comic/books/manga, books about my favourite artists (like Magritte or Francis Bacon) and interviews (related to the comics authors, or to things like cinema). I struggle to have all my interest working at the same time, but recently i got the urge to read some of the physical books and comics that i have in my collection, and i keeping to read at least twenty page per day of both.

I have a few outside of games. My interest in Vocaloid is pretty obvious, and I enjoy singing too. I'm also pretty into historical martial arts, and practiced Kendo and Iai for a number of years. More broadly, I enjoy Anime/Manga and Movies like most folk, though I'm admittedly a little behind right now.
