What are some genuinely bad games you enjoy?

Even though it has flaws, I love Final Fantasy XIII. The game is absolutely hated in some parts of the FF community though. I love, love, LOVE the combat system. The game looked amazing when it first came out, and the soundtrack has some good stuff. They did some interesting things with its two sequels too.

I also think Sonic Forces and Mega Man X7 get more hate than they actually deserve. I think Mega Man X6 committed more sins, yet it has its merits as well.

I also agree with PhrawzT, the Crazy Castle games were simple fun and addicting.

Hello!

One I enjoyed, that never bothered to keep was Boombots. It was the final game done by Doug TenNapel's Neverhood company. It sort of plays like a much more crap version of Power Stone with fmvs between levels of wonderfully detailed clay characters

Like, too many dude

awww i have a soft spot for 007, but it's the nostalgia i suppose. ok fine i am in denial its pretty crap lol
Dude, when I think back to that first level (which I played to death) I remember thinking it was really accurate to the film, and had multiple fun ways to kill enemies with gadgets, yet all the contemporary reviews dunk on it. :loldog
Oh well, I choose to remember it as a fun time.

Its all good, Interesting choice & I do have those old memories also, i'll have to go back at it again sometime, its my own fault not getting past the third level.

Edit: First level BGM slaps.

any games considered bad that you like
for me it's Drakengard 1
I honestly wish someone made a rom hack to rebalance the gameplay and fine tune the controls. The core gameplay is decent IMO, but the balancing is hella whack, and that's why I think the game gets a bad rep.

My game considered bad I like is Silent Hill: Homecoming. It's the weakest of the main Silent Hill games, it shits on canon so it can unofficially adapt the first movie, but its a testament to its developers (The Collective, aka. Double Helix) that it's still pretty fun IMO.

I love this game way too much :V
The story is interesting, but the execution is really weird, the gameplay-cutscene ratio is also really unbalanced (like, 30% gameplay and 70% cutscene?), the game has RPG elements but they really get in the way because of how the game scales the enemies to your characters' levels.
But I can't help it, the weird-ass designs, the voice acting, the goofy animations and ragdoll physics, the SOUNDTRACK, it has some redeemable stuff, but the game is just too jank for me to actually recommend to someone.
I love it :V
And I'm still waiting for Sion and Dominique cameos in Kingdom Hearts, come on Square, give the fans what they want! :V

Virus & Martian Gothic are two Jank PS1 Games I loved playing on my PSP-Go

The '99 film adaptation of VIRUS is fantastic, it's the last great practical VFX Horror film.

What little CGI it uses was done sparingly, backed up by animatronics. It's a great creature feature.

Anyway, here's the obscure Chibi Tank game I played far to much of.

It's called "Seek and Destroy" in English but I REFUSE to post its EU/NA Box art. Fun game.

P.S. I always think that Sion is Sora's father🥹
