Weird stuff you like to eat

I read, "Weird Foot Combinations", and hesitated to read this.
I promise you I'm not Finland

Have you tried Salmiakki? There's regular salmiakki, but you can also get ice cream too that is salmiakki flavored.

Thats cool, it looks like it would be served at a venue hosting some kind of metal show. What's it like?

Chicken sandwich with syrup. It sounds a little weird, but it's actually pretty good.

Honestly, that sounds pretty good! I've seen plenty of cooking shows where people marinate chicken using honey

No I'm not Finland, not yet, but I do fancy some weird food combinations every once in a blue moon like a peanut butter and cheese sandwich or bacon on a tuna salad. What are some of yours?
I’ll mention a couple that I know are considered weird no matter who you ask and ones that are weird outside of where we live but are normal here. I know everyone dislikes dipping fries in shakes but I think it tastes good. I think cheese can be a good addition to peanut butter n jelly, I’d even hold the peanut butter. It’s super common over here to combine ketchup and mayo rather than ketchup and mustard, it’s practically a must.
There’s people in Europe who eat milk with rice, I find that odd as I prefer yogurt with rice.
Falafel is super popular almost no matter where you go, but it’s only here that it’s combined with a cheese called labnah. It’s a great combo.
Over here, raisins are typically cooked and rehydrated, combined with onions then used as a topping for rice or other savory dishes.
Most of these aren’t “weird” per se, but they’re uncommon in certain places.
Apparently Europeans hate potatoes with rice but it’s common in this region I live in.

The Elvis sandwich is even crazier than the myth because he apparently used a full loaf of bread, not sliced, and I think he only ate it while really high, and added jam too if I’m not mistaken.

That's right, in fact I realized I had forgotten the jam (blueberry, I guess?).

Before I die, I would like to try the very in-famous Elvis sandwich that combines peanut butter (which I am crazy about...), sliced banana, and bacon! All fried in the deadliest fat....

As someone who'd made this a couple times, it's good, it's really good.

I would also recommend diet and exercise, and to only make these in extreme moderation, as they're extremely unhealthy.

WTF is Salmiakki lol!!! I checked on Google and it says "black licorice with ammonium chloride", then I can only imagine first its lemon like salty taste washes over you but then as its metallic taste lingers you get the taste of medicine like sugar. It's kinda like licking the ground of Jupiter's moon Ganymede but without sugar but more like soda and a taste like bitter giuseppe cocktail stays in your mouth!!!

Its black licorice, but authentic taste, no sweetness. They mix it with about everything, including cake.

It's interesting that pretty much every culture has their own different taste they like, but I think Salmiakki stuff is overexaggerated like they have nothing else to eat lolol. But if they like it it's good for them!!!

Considering liking taste of foods depends on genes that's not really related to what genes makes us a human (which is a contrary belief for people act like opinions we have is because of what makes us human, however we are a human but also an unique individual due to genetic variation that's actually may be less than the aspect that makes us a human however has the most power on causing biological difference) so naturally people will have opposite sense of tastes and subjectivity that cannot be a matter of what is objective and what is popular doesn't even matter. Even genetically identical twins start to have different set of active genes as they get old so naturally they will have different personalities. So, our sense of taste even changes as we get old due to difference between active genes and the nature of how genes work. So there may be a time you start liking it and it wouldn't be weird!!! lol

The topic is rather interesting and a reality slap for people who mistakenly believe "every people experience the same reality" -- we do not. For example if you have a different variation of TAS2R38 gene then you can get a bitter taste while eating cabbage but some other people doesn't get this taste at all. Because of it, we do not get the same information from reality and also we don't put the same meaning to the same information, which is a reason for personality differences. That's why some guy watches Matrix 1 and understands the movie and has every idea of what the movie has but doesn't dislike it but I get the same information and POV but I like the movie. That's the way it's. So despite two different people get the same taste it doesn't mean they all will like it.
