Any visual novel fans here? list some recommendations for VNs you really liked, I played Hoshi no Furu Oka a while ago and in spite of it being unremarkable and very obscure, I liked it a lot

So, my advice is about classic fan-translated titles for PC, but also playable on android devices (via exagear, kirikiroid2, Xsystem4 etc).

-VN rpgs: Utawarerumono, Tears to Tiara, Sengoku Rance, Rance VI, Lovely Kingdom (Giga), Men at Work 2, Castle Fantasia 2, Daibanchou;

-VNs: Animamundi, Fate Stay Night, Crescendo, Kana Little Sister, Family Project, Umineko, Ever17, Clannad, Remember11, Yu-No

And Bad apple wars (this one is Otome and a vita exclusive)

The Zero trilogy ia also great (Nine hours, Zero escape and time dilemma) and for last The silver Case is great too.

Tsukihime both remake and OG, and if you like it you can hop on Melty Blood too to enjoy it's fighting game version

I'm playing 999 right now and I am hooked on it. I got my first ending not too long ago.

I'm on my last route which is the Shizune route and it might be my favorite route from the game

just finished apeiria overall i really liked it. its one of those ones with a "strong personality" protagonist so i guess its bound to be likable in some extent from that alone but he was actually pretty good conceptually too. he reminded me seiya from amagi mixed with kakeru from onani master, i enjoyed that he didnt just only come off as eccentric at times but it being portrayed as a genuine character flaw. the cat and mouse stuff in the narrative was a surprise too very rare in vns cool to see. all the heroines were pretty good but probably carried by the authors very particular taste. like they dont have any more depth than the average plotge heroine but they have particular qualities about them that you dont really see much elsewhere, and those aspects are honed in and turned fulled throttle. the whole vn as a whole just feels like the authors "this is my taste" put on full display really. biggest miss for it all was the sci fi aspect because despite it being so prominent it really didnt have anything special to say nor was the execution any better than any other work that tries.

Anything written by Maruto Fumiaki and Tanaka Romeo really. Those two are guarantee of quality regardless of how obscure the VNs they worked at.
Kana Imouto and White Album 2 are some of the best undisputed VN writings of all time even with their wonky English translations.

I'd also recommend Nukitashi despite how unashamedly garbage quality localizations Shiravune did injustice for it. Because it's just THAT good of a eroge VN settingwise and there's really nothing quite like it.

Comedy: Snow Sakura, Majikoi and it's extended universe, My Girlfriend is the President, Our World is Ended
Action: Fate series but start from Fate/stay night, Full Metal Daemon Muramasa, Galaxy Angel
Mystery: Science Adventure Series (Chaos;Head, Steins;Gate, Robotic;Notes, and all their spin offs)
Horror: Saya no Uta, Corpse Party
Dem feels: Anything by Key, notably Little Busters, Clannad, Rewrite as well.
Yo what the fudge: Muv Luv (in a good way), Euphoria (in not so good way)

A short little VN that I discovered in the old NicoBlog days when they posted pc games.
I had never heard of it before and gave it a try and found it's visual and story very interesting.
