Soul Calibur 2 is probably one of the few magical fighting games that can truly make you feel chill. Were talking about the all those menu sounds, the voice clips, the orchestral soundtrack, the fun & sometimes goofy campaign missions... "All these character costumes & weapons look sooo cool!"

It has to be between Ninja Gaiden Black/Sigma, Devil May Cry 3, Megaman X1, or Project Diva series depending on my mood. Those games always feel like coming home.

I don't think it's that weird, for the longest time Dark Souls 1 has also been a comfort game for me, vibes are unmatched

What is Your comfort game? Your Go-To Game whenever you are bored, sad, Etc. For Me, it's terraria. I like how hard the game is giving me a challenge even tho I have played through it more than twice. I still come back to it once a while whenever I'm going through something.

Hmm, I don't think I necessarily have a comfort game in the sense you described, but I do have favourites I return to every couple years because I enjoy their gameplay or their atmosphere so much.

Thief 1 and 2, Warcraft 3, Final Fantasy IX, Mega Man Zero 1-3, Resident Evil 4 (non-remake) and Fire Emblem Blazing Blade are absolute staples for me for example.
