Venus & Braves ps2 - Translation (need some help)

Hello i start this project month ago
I found the script on GameFAQ, already translated. here:
Story Translation - version 1.06 by Random Elf (random_elf@yahoo.ca)
I'm currently halfway through Chapter 3, so I need testers.
if poeple want help or test the game i will upload here a beta ?

Nice! Always love to see more games getting translation patches. If you need someone to test on original hardware I'd be willing to. I can run it on both HDD and disc.
I don't know anything about programming but I can read some Japanese. If you find any text yet to be translated I could give it a try.

Locks up right at the beginning of chapter 3

A much bigger issue is the translation that's already been done. It's very rough and doesn't match what's in the GameFAQs guide. idk what you're using but I highly recommend you transpose the guide verbatim instead, because the translation from it is actually pretty solid. I had a read through it after I was done playing. The guide was never completed, you have up to chapter 6 with solid translations but chapters 7-13 where never finish. Gonna be an issue if you make it that far in the project.
Another issue I had was with the tutorial pop windows. Most of them did not display properly, they would extend past the screen borders and get cut off. I had never play this game before so trying to figure things out was a bit of a struggle when I couldn't read most of them.

You ever tried to edit something with a hexadecimal editor? You could be the change you want to see in the world instead of blowing someone's spot up like that.

That's not the issue. For the most part the text displays properly and the parts that don't could be fixed in time. The real problem is that he chose to use a sub-par translation AGAIN. then he lies and says he used Random_Elf's translation when that's clearly not the case, I uploaded my playthrough so you can compare for yourself. For that reason I'm out. I have no interest in helping anymore.

I remember finishing the game a long time ago using that guide, but it is incomplete. I managed to continue, but missing a lot of the story.
I even emailed Random Elf about completing the guide, but he replied that he wasn’t planning to do so.
