Awesome game with interesting story and unique fighting mechanics and weapon creation. I always wished for proper remake or a sequel, or game with similar mechanics. Next with Soul Blade and Silent Hill one of my favourite Opening Videos on PS1.

Me too I really wished for a sequel nonetheless, but what we got is FF Tactics series and FF XII which is set in the same world of Ivalice.
Wait, are the ps1 FFT Ivalice and FFTA/FFXII Ivalice the same setting? How come that the original FFT and apparently Vagrant Story too only have humans while the later games had multiple sapient species? Not to mention all the magitek present in FFXII?

ff12 and FFT are indeed the same universe,
but THOUSANDS of years apart, FF12 is before FFT
i know a lot of FFT mentions "machines of the past" airships and machines are buried underground,
FFTA is a bit weird considering the games story of "you're in a storybook"

Vagrant story makes a big amount of reference to FF in general and FFT

Yes the game is good and have a nice story. I read something about a remake somewhere but I'm rather skeptical about such things.

You are wrong.
Timeline of Ivalice:

1.Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
-Moogle Montblanc creates his own clan
-Judge Drace is still alive(she appears on game box cover, one of the three Judges)

2 Final Fantasy XII
-The Montblanc clan is already quite famous
-Judge Drace dies(executed by Judge Gabranth because of rebellion against new emperor Vayne)
-Ancient Anastasis Kiltias founds the religion of Kiltias, later dies
-Throughout the game, there is often Mist, a magical substance which distorts living and dead creatures, jamming magic, etc.
-At the end, Balthier goes for the treasures of the Church of Glabados (the whole game he hunts for gems, which turn out to be stones with imprisoned summons, and the treasures of the Church of Glabados turn out to be stones with imprisoned demons)
-Actually, summons are described as fallen higher beings, but at the same time they still serve the person who called them

3.Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings
-A direct continuation of FFXII
-Vaan and Penelo have grown by a year, Balthier has not yet acquired the treasures of the Church of Glabados

4.Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift
-In the process of wandering, the main character Luso meets even more matured Vaan and Penelo, at the end he goes to his homeworld

5.Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions
-In the original FFT, the main villains Glabados churchmen use stones to summon demons
-Demons are the same summons (there are the same names) from FFXII, but already serving only themselves and the same demon-brothers as they are
-In the WotL remake-addon, the main character Ramza meets Luso and Balthier (they are fan cameos, but they have story arcs, like Cloud from FFVII in the original FFT), so the FFT takes place approximately after Revenant Wings, and simultaneously with FFTA2, because Luso hasn't yet return to home

6. Vagrant Story
-Kiltias religion is thought to be long dead, about 400 years ago
-The dead city of Lea Monde is saturated with Dark, which raises the dead and skeletons - a kind of modified Mist from FFXII.

I've finished Vagrant Story few days ago, my first playthrough result:

And I will play New Game+ to open all maps and chests. And maybe few times more, to achieve all titles.
