After the long, hard fight, you finally save the world! but... something is not right; as you sit back to rest on your laurels, you are presented with nothing but disappointment astue ending is either non existent or worse, it's confusing and nonsensical.

The best example I can think of is Gunstar Heroes: after all the trouble to beat Golden Silver and breaking Green's apparent mind control, he just rams his Seven Force machine on tye boss and both are destroyed, the credits roll.[/spoiler ]

When I played, I kept thinking I had to play better or finish faster to see a better ending, but even playing on hard never made a difference.

So, do you guys have similar stories?

Every single one that made me get up and physically reset the console.

"Call of Duty Ghosts", just finished... it's a bad and disturbing ending. I've read in various forums and comments that it was made with a sequel in mind, so that's a good explanation, but still...
In any case, I played it because I never tried a CoD before and I found a cheap copy of that title, so I don't really care!

I believe that most games have crappy endings. It is very rare to find a satisfying one. It would be more productive to list the games with good endings.

The fallout series has the laziest of the bunch. A PowerPoint presentation after doing some serious ass kicking and saving the world from mutants. I guess it is technically not a bad ending, just a lazy one.

The ending of Shining Force 2 (MegaDrive/Genesis) disappointed me. The first part (just after the final boss) was OK. But after that, in my opiniion, It was like a very bad fairy tale (very stereotypical).

So true, not worth the effort. Bowie barely has any contact with Elis and now they are married? I don't buy it

Risen. You spend the whole game building up you're character the way you want. Finding out in in the none if it mattered. I don't wat to spoil the game, but if your interested in knowing what I'm talking about watch the ending fight on yourube.

The "good" ending of Gungnir is garbage, in fact any of the endings are literally bad endings. Beside that, the game is really good though.

Mass effect 3 ending, i still remember that one...

There's one Gungnir ending that I like, the real bad one where you get betrayed and have to escape the capital. It was an unexpected twist.

I never got the golden ending, though. It is kind of a pain in the arse to carry the princess around without suffering any defeats.

The “good” ending of koudelka was like 20 seconds or something. I was so disappointed. But the “bad” ending (you let the final boss beat you) was way more fleshed out and had additional scenes and is the ending shadow hearts is based on. Weird way to do it. Still loved the game

Tin star (for super Nintendo).
the plot twist near the end, was shocking.

Kingdom hearts 3

Yes, and that happens to me more than once: The Last of Us, Life Is Strange 2, Mass Effect: Andromeda, Dragon Age II, Assassin's Creed 3, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Star Wars KOTOR II and Fallout 3

She got a lot of junk in the trunk. I get it. ::eyebrows

But seriously, why did the game take a huge dump on Sarah in the end? A girl with kicking skills like that has some serious versatility. Wife material in my book.
So true, and she's been through thick and thin from the start.
The Kazin ship in that Saturn game feels forced.

The ending of FF XIII-2. Man I love that game a lot but the ending it was a hard kick in the balls. And even if you collect all the paradox items hopping you could change something the game mocks You because history cannot be changed.
