Underrated games...

Klonoa: Door to Phantomile. It's an amazing game that not enough people know about. You can download it here on the Repo.

There's this very underrated Philips CDI gem called Plumbers Don't Wear Ties. It's truly a cinematographic masterpiece that every person on Earth should play. It's a shame it was only released on a niche console like the CDI or else people would appreciate it more.

U.N. Squadron.jpg

I don't see UN Squadron talked about much, but I think it's the best scrolling shooter on the SNES. Space Megaforce would probably be my #2.

Skyblazer.jpg

Skyblazer is a very fun action platformer that I never see discussed either.

Donkey Kong '94 and Run Saber were great picks as well

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. Despite the words Final Fantasy, it's a somewhat obscure game, being the black sheep of the series. It is simple, meant to be a beginner's RPG, but it's still fun. You can jump, and use weapons to solve basic puzzles. You can save anywhere outside of a battle, and there are no random battles, as you see the enemies on the screen ahead of time, so in a way it was ahead of its time. The story is basically nonexistent, but because of that the game also doesn't drag and has a nice pace to it. Most importantly, it has an excellent soundtrack. It's never been ported elsewhere, so it's only on the SNES, a crime that is unlikely to change given the game's middling reviews and lack of popularity.

It's meant to be an entry-level JRPG for kids. I think it does a good job of this.
I would totally give an 8 year old this game as a first JRPG.
And that MUSIC!

I picked up a copy of Gitaroo Man when it was first released for the PSP in what feels like a long time ago. At the time I had no idea that it was a port of a PS2 game. It's a rhythm game of sorts with an interesting and quirky storyline. The gameplay can be challenging at times but check it out if you're interested.

I've recently been playing Onimusha Warlords on my PS2 and I realized that I've been ignoring this game for a long time. I was too lazy to play it because I thought it would be some generic game, since I hadn't seen much about it. After my childhood friend convinced me to play it, I kind of got addicted to it. lol.

Heres one i really enjoy, Samurai Western is an action rpg where you play as a samurai..in a western lmao
You literally dodge bullets and cut down cowboys with a sword, its awesome, super fun, love it to death even if its a bit jank, what ps2 game isn't

And heres my fall time favorite ps2 game, GunGrave. You play as a dead man brought back to life named Grave, you walk around and are basically a living tank, you gun down everything in your path leaving nothing but destruction and bullet holes in your path as you finish out your revenge plot against an evil organization, this game is awesome, clunky but awesome, there also exist a 24 episode anime based off of it that is totally worth a watch.

The english patch thankfully , this game is amazing for a Tactical JRPG , its soo Good and the customization is also good for the mechs and pilots skills
