The internet tells me these are bad games that suck, but I think they're fun. I actually liked the avatar character I created in Sonic Forces and some of the levels are fun. It's way better than Sonic Frontiers. Also, the OST is underappreciated. Mega Man X7 is not a bad game, fans just were pissed that it introduced 3d gameplay. That's literally the only reason it's developed this reputation as the worst Mega Man X game (which is actually Mega Man X6)
River City Girls is shit compared to an actually good River City game like Tokyo Rumble or River City Saga Three Kingdoms, but it still has some charm. Some of the moves and weapons are fun (like the yoyo), I like the Skullmageddon cameo. Lastly, the original secret ending was funny, it's a shame that Wayforward changed it. It's also better than River City Girls Zero which is absolute garbage. Still, games like Tokyo Rumble and River City Saga Three Kingdoms are much better designed and have much better combat (much faster than the sluggish combat in River City Girls for one thing) along with some awesome over the top moves that go beyond anything you'll see in River City Girls
Also, full disclosure. I actually think the original Scott Pilgrim game plays like shit and is badly designed and I've played enough beat 'em ups to know what I'm talking about. It's another shitty take on the River City formula much like River City Girls is, but the graphics are awesome and it has one of my favorite game soundtracks of all time. I actually am interested in seeing how the new game turns out given that it will have more development time than the first game did, and made a thread about it where I was a bit kinder with my description of the original game.
Odin Sphere on the PS2. I actually hated this game, but the reason I mention it here is because the remake is soooooooo much better and a game I actually love. Apparently you
can polish a turd. It's like night and day between the shitty PS2 game and the fucking awesome Leifthrasir remake. They really turned me around on this one and Leifthrasir is the gold standard on how to properly do a remake
Agents of Mayhem - So many problems with this game that I think have been covered by lots of places online, yet I still found it oddly addicting. Some of the character concepts were pretty cool and I like that G.I.Joe influence. I really wish they could remake this into something genuinely special like what happened with Odin Sphere.
The Senran Kagura series. Gameplay so mindless that you can literally turn off your brain, boring as hell enemies outside of the playable characters that you fight in the games, and short, bland levels that make no impression. These are bottom of the barrel musou games, but goddamn the cast is memorable with some really unique designs and combat styles and it's fun playing as an OP character that you've maxed out and demolishing the other main characters in battle and watching the clothes fly off.
Peach Beach Splash in particular is a guilty pleasure and stands out for being a bit different than the other entries trading melee combat for fun, water based, third person shooter, squad based combat. It's fun building up some characters and seeing how well your AI companions perform in combat. The Senran Kagura series is popular, but if we're being honest, they are not great games but the interesting characters and the series unique gimmick of uh, "stripperific" combat makes them stand out.
In a similar vein, the Gal Gun series are just generic light gun shooters in terms of gameplay but the games are goddamn hilarious and have spawned some legitimately good, 2d, sidescrollers in the form of the Gal Guardians series
