To become that kind of company
Each of our game users
All the save data are consistent
It should be respected through the verification process.
A game developer who can do that
Is there even one place??

As far as im aware no , the only decent game studio seems to be forgotten empires whom work breathed a new life onto the RTS genre thanks to their amazing work in age of empires remasters especially AOE2 which got a new expansion pack soon with 5 new chinese civilizations.

I would have said square enix but man im not sure that a single japanese company deserves respect not that any other company does perhaps CDprojekt red too seeing they fixed cyperpunk2077 other than that maybe valve.

Well some indie company do have some level of respect for their consumers. But at the end of the day most companies goal at the end of the day is increase profit margin even at the cost of costumer satisfaction. It´s better to make 10million today than 1billion next month.

Companies are not people and they cannot care about anything. They're entities created for the purpose of doing business. There are certainly people at those companies who personally care about the games they're making, or about their customers. But the company needs to be profitable to continue existing and so those concerns are always going to be a deciding factor in every aspect of their activities.

The big problem is stockholdership

Back when game devs' main source of income was gamers, they went beyond to make great games

But when their incomes became dependent on stock, the focus went from making to selling; and frankly, selling stuff from established brands ain't that hard thus quality went out the window

There's no incentive to make great games for gamers right now, as long as they're able to sell something, it's all well for them (not for gamers though)

That's why I'm a retro gamer: I don't care if I play games more than half my age, they were and still are great games

People , the dude is korean he said before he used google translation this explains why his posts read like this.

If you can don't make fun of his english try to help him instead ::chocobo-wave i get its confusing as hell but this is the only way this fella can communicate with us.

The only one i know of that seems to care at all is nihon falcom, but even that doesn't mean they won't stab their fans in the back, hence why i try to keep my fanboy blinders locked away.

Nintendo proves the dangers of fanboyism after all.

Well the companies provide a product if its good you buy if not no buy , job of the company is to earn money right?

Well he may see this and uses chatgpt in the future for more understandable posts

Yeah, but as time passed i think they just completely ditched even bothering with a good product, i'm extremely petty with companies nowadays and i don't mind picking on small details, if they want to primary think of bussiness and disregard everything else i won't even bother giving them benefits of doubt because they completely killed my good will.

And then if no good product then no buying product right? Its their fault and gamers can vote by their wallets if none buys these massive budget games they will have to find ways to make gamers buy their games again only then would they care to make a good product why invest in one if you can get the same value out of poorly made one with less money?

I think current situation is a bit different and it's a problme, a lot of these companies seem to have much more ideological motivation than profit currently, else you wouldn't have so many of them keep making these games that take years and years just to lose millions to hundred of millions. They get too much private funding from investors and others that have enough capital to spare and gaming companies losing money to get bought by larger oligarchies is also a thing
