Now, talking about one specific song, this one sucks. And yes, the whole album is as bad as this.

"cotton eye joe" is great fun though and a proper guilty pleasure - its quite hard not to smile inside when u hear it

I do geniunely believe alot of the Rap/Hip Hop hate comes from very deeply rooted racism in some regards, im not saying its my favorite genre or all of it is perfect, or even that the genre itself can have an issue with promoting very serious issues.
Most of the time I see people say "Rap isnt REAL music", "Turn off that mumble garbage", its mostly just a deep hatred for the culture itself.

the main issue i have with rap/hiphop is the actual music itself ( a pile of repetitive beats mixed with nursery rhyme style music - is too childish for me ) , but the lyrics are often quite clever (sometimes) if they ever replace the music with guitars and drums i may give the genre another chance , for example "klf - america what time is love" is a well done hybrid of rap , dance and metal

This reminds me to when I used to go to the gym; it was exactly the same case. The only good music I ever listened to while working out were some slipknot songs, but in general, pure crap.
