honestly gave it like 3 shots. First when i was a 5 year old and got it when i got my ds lite. Second was on my pc with my wacom. Third was on my bfs 3ds. Every time i hated it. Its a tedious grind and NOT a fun one. And thats coming from me who can spend hours on dragon quest games.
Which sucks because ive been really digging the USA NES version

I played this without knowing its reputation beforehand cause I like the PS1 original. It is one of the most unplayable FPS games I have ever touched, and I've played The Fortress of Dr. Radiaki.
I was the opposite lmao, started with that one before the PS1 version. Fortunately, it helps me discovered a lot of good and bad ports

Worst game by design or disappointment? Holy fuck the ff7 remake was so bad.

The where's waldo game on nes is really annoying. Can't find him anywhere with graphics.

I will forever associate this game with Vinesauce Joel.

Superman 64.
I... actually rented and played Superman 64 as a kid and was stuck with it all weekend... I think I may have been repressing that memory until now.

I rented it as a kid as well but pretty sure I went with my parents to return it the next day since I didn't like it. No one wants to fly through rings on the first level of a superhero game.

Clock Tower 3. I had just finished up Haunting Ground—which I ended up liking way more than I thought I would—and I wanted to compare the two because CT3 has something of a reputation for being batshit insane.

If you must experience that game, watch someone else play it. The stalker/killer A.I. is godawful. They have an infant's sense of object permanence: your character can get into a hiding spot a few feet in front of them and they just sit there wondering how that school girl suddenly disappeared. Then the stalker teleports away because this game doesn't give a rat's tuckus about verisimilitude.

Also, your character goes from being a useless damsel to a literal magical girl with arrows of light for poorly explained plot reasons.

Also also, some of the unlockable costumes for your 14-year-old heroine are...questionable.

To be honest, even bad games have their charm.

I'd rather play a bad game, cause it will at least give me a few laughs, instead of a mediocre and forgettable game.
