Finished my 2nd overall playthrough of Yakuza 0 today!

Cringe Sony. I remember this. I think Xbox Yakuza did this too but I don’t remember. I’ll probably play on steam next time I revisit Yakuza.

Oh wow only 40 hours? I remember clocking in around 120, haha.

Yeah, it's my 2nd playthrough but on a completely fresh save. I lost my first save file when my PS4 died back in 2018I mainly focused on the story, but still got side-tracked by the Real Estate & Cabaret Club management minigames

S'all good hehe I could still have done all the side stuff again (still might in premium adventure) but I was mainly playing it this time for a story refresher.

Not worth it nah. I did the real estate stuff twice. Wasn’t fun. I think I only enjoyed side stuff in 3-7. Zero felt a little half baked on a replay.

and now reminds me to play this game. dang so many games, so little time.

currently playing two games, batman arkham city, and ghost recon wildland, which are my fave open world beside yakuza and BoTW/ToTK
I like open world when done right and the theme is my kind. but rarely does lately.

I'm also like bit of GTA, but never finish once any of them.
I like Yakuza better, though.
and also I've been in there in real life, kind of reminiscence : ))

I hear the Yakuza/GTA comparisons now and then, but I don't really see it myself. They seem pretty distinct from each other.

Both similarity comes to underworld theme.

The size of world, and the core gameplay, are vast different. Especially if we talk about the combat mechanic, gta focusing into all rounded, while yakuza focusing to melee beat em up.
