The Reason Why Warriors Orochi 3 (Musou Orochi 2) is Special

The reason is that it's the only Musou game—and perhaps the only game in all of gaming genres—to feature a fantasy-based 'single extraction' game mode (referring to Gauntlet Mode).


While the fantasy-based extraction game Dark and Darker has since been released, that game and its similar titles have been severely marred by various unfortunate controversies. In comparison, Warriors Orochi 3 is incredibly pioneering and special.


It is a great loss and a shame that the Nintendo Switch version of such a unique masterpiece is exclusively for the domestic Japanese market.

I played Orochi 3 quite a bit, but never actually tried that gauntlet mode
Dunno about switch version but game also on steam and you can run it on very weak pc too

Undoubtedly my favorite musou, no questions asked, and second favorite game of the ps3 era. Was really fun.
