'Actually has games' my eyes are rolling so hard right now.PS5 feels outdated IMO, even compared to the PS4 which has nicer trophy images, a better UI, and the ability to actually back up your saves on USB.
Oh yeah, and the PS4 actually has games.
I can tell you a curiosity: my PlayStation 4 was my first video game. I thought it would last forever, but as companies nowadays want to make money without caring about others,It's getting hard for me to find games for myself that are cheap'Actually has games' my eyes are rolling so hard right now.
Also hilarious that people had the exact same complaint about last gen. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
And Switch 2 is almost that outdated because it's a little better than PS4 in terms of "power" lol.The Switch is more outdated than the PS4 in terms of power.
Is a nintendo switch 2 even better than a ps4 genuine question as I don't think its that strong but maybe I am wrong. And Switch 2 is almost that outdated because it's a little better than PS4 in terms of "power" lol.
Switch 2's CPU wins for having newer technology and it designed to deal with how newer games require more CPU power while PS4 belongs to an era in gaming that CPU power was not needed that much. This is why developers would wanna ditch PS4 and release their games on PS5 and Switch 2 instead of PS4.Is a nintendo switch 2 even better than a ps4 genuine question as I don't think its that strong but maybe I am wrong.
I'm going to keep my PS4 and buy a Nintendo Switch to be my portableA computer engineered in and around 2010 - 2013 for a consumer friendly*** price tag. It wasn’t state of the art at any point, but it’s been firmly “outdated” for a while. It’s been said for years, but designing for weaker hardware has been actively holding games back. I would make the opposite argument as well, as I think the PS4’s last games that really were built around it came in 2019, before the new generation came around.
All that said, with threads like this popping up and prices on the system in the bin… now is the time to get one. While I have a PS5, best believe I’ve been eyeing the games because the PS4 had the best console versions of most of the multi-plats that came to it, as well as some cool exclusives. Biggest thing I’m looking at though is the PSVR1, and while I’m taking a major break from buying games right now as a way of breaking habit, you had best believe I’ve considered the VR1 at some point, since the 2 is an overpriced embarrassment that isn’t even compatible with the games from the 1. Plus, I’ve never even tried VR thanks to the habitually high price tag, so I’m watching the prices fall like a hawk for these VR units, as well as the selection of cool games they got as exclusives.
***the PS4 cost less than the XBox One at launch, and it’s the last console to have its price go down over its lifespan, but I would argue it never went down enough for my taste, as it probably could have been put at $150 U.S. at some point and been decently profitable off game sales alone.
I think new games will be a rough time, but if you aren’t buying many of those and you’re mainly getting indies and cheap used games, a PS4 is a genuine system to rock with in the mid 2020’s. It’s all a matter of if you want or need that extra power, as a PS4 Pro can still more than get the job done in the case of many games.I'm going to keep my PS4 and buy a Nintendo Switch to be my portable
Just answer one question, will I still be able to receive an exchange? I wanted to platinum some VR FNAF games, how can I buy the equipment that is my dream, also playing those motion games?I think new games will be a rough time, but if you aren’t buying many of those and you’re mainly getting indies and cheap used games, a PS4 is a genuine system to rock with in the mid 2020’s. I only have a Switch for the exclusives that I know no one was going to share online for at least 10 or so years from now (and that's if they're obsessed with a complete library/archival) buying a SteamDeck for titles my laptop couldn't handle and as an on the go emulator for older games has made it my best purchase since my PS4 after I missed the previous generation.I'm going to keep my PS4 and buy a Nintendo Switch to be my portable
Here in my country it is not cheaper, I will buy a suite that I will buy in that cool one here is unlocked that there is a store that sells unlocked in my country several models and of all editionsI only have a Switch for the exclusives that I know no one was going to share online for at least 10 or so years from now (and that's if they're obsessed with a complete library/archival) buying a SteamDeck for titles my laptop couldn't handle and as an on the go emulator for older games has made it my best purchase since my PS4 after I missed the previous generation.
In terms of raw power? If they're on the PS4 you should be able to do fine and the PS4 Pro should handle it with ease but ultimate gaming experience for VR and most current gen gaming experiences will still be PC no matter what as you can build it up to keep in line with developer tools so long as you know how to build your PC and have the money, my coworker just pissed away $800 USD on a graphics card alone. Unless you're demanding the highest graphic fidelity on top of smooth gameplay just stick to the PS4 for it's library, no one is demanding you to kill a good console still able to run without crashing or stuttering after your save file gets bigger.Just answer one question, will I still be able to receive an exchange? My dream is always to play those VR games like job simulator since yes because I watched it for the first time I want to have the experienceIn terms of raw power? Understood I never buy a game at full price, even my Deck was bought at discount. The only one was the Switch which I'm still regretting to some degree even if I knew it was going to be for exclusives and not a long expensive library compared to the Deck that I would share the rest of my Steam library with. Here in my country it is not cheaper, I will buy a suite that I will buy in that cool one here is unlocked that there is a store that sells unlocked in my country several models and of all editions
The pain I feel for you is so real. The price here in the states has gone down, as PS5 has become super popular among console players (not popular in opinion, rather in ownership), and many of the more disgruntled have headed over to PC. I think, depending on where you live, your main job is to be patient and get lucky. My dream is always to play those VR games like job simulator since yes because I watched it for the first time I want to have the experience
What is your Playstation ID so I can add you if you want and if I can call you a friend I can follow you sorry about my comments what I just wanted to have the VR experience that I always in I've loved motion games ever since I first discovered the Xbox 360 with Kinect. The pain I feel for you is so real. The biggest strategy you can give yourself is keep a savings around for the VR set and keep an eye out on auction sites or local listings like Facebook Marketplace. Know which places in your area sell used games too, as that can get you more than just a VR kit. I wish you the best of luck with however you choose to go about it!
