The PC Engine CD ver. Of Popful Mail now has an english fan translation (and also a fandub) in the works!

I'd prefer subtitles over a dub or at least as an option, to preserve the original voices and for people that can't hear or understand very well.

As someone who enjoys both subs & dubs, talk about the best of both worlds.

I've been wanting to play this version for so long.

Honestly, I played this game, but in this version (PC+Engine CD) once, but it's pretty cool, although it was in Japanese, but with this English translation of this game at least it will be worth trying it again.

For most PC Engine games it's very difficult to hack in subtitles where none existed originally. That's why for many games on the console a fan dub is the best option for an English patch.
is there any difference between pc engine ver and saturn ver i played the saturn ver btw
The PC Engine port is more faithful to the PC88 original. The Sega CD version was basically remade from the ground up by Sega.
Also the SNES version is a completely different game, I hope that get's translated someday too.

The PC Engine CD version plays more like "Legacy of the Wizard" for NES (if you've ever played that).

Getting the audio translated would be a good start. Inserting the text would be a test of one's patience.

There are not many people who actually give a shit about PC Engine programming. Not nearly as many as there should be.

This pretty awesome. I actually did beat the Sega Cd and SFC version so why not another one.
