ALRIGHT!
About a month ago, I embarked on a quest to create a Top 10 list for every major game console using input from the illustrious members of the RetroGameTalk community. There's actually a rather lengthy backstory that begins with a thread by @Ognimod (which you can read here if you're interested) but what's important is that I eventually managed to cobble together enough of a satisfactory result to make my first list in the series.
Problem: I took too long...
I ended up getting distracted with several other projects, as well as being unable to decide upon a format or structure for the list. See, the main draw of this exercise was to compile a faux e-zine-like article using all of the lists. I just managed to finish the NES related images this morning, and am finally ready to move on to other consoles, with the general flow being that we'll codify everything Nintendo related up to the Switch, then move onto other companies like Sega, Sony, Microsoft (probably looping back to older stuff like Atari, Intellivision etc. when enough people complain about it). I had a bit of a debate with myself over how to continue, since the Game Boy released before the SNES, but I just said fuck it and we'll do the Game Boy stuff lated. I'm in the mood for some 16-bit shenanigans and I hope you'll all indulge me.
So, without further ado, here are the rules:
- We begin with preliminary nominee thread to weed out possible selections for our list (that's this thread)
- In the nominee thread, everyone suggests 1 game from the console library (In this case, that would be the SNES)
- The game must be exclusive to that system (we can fudge this for particularly unique or specific ports)
- You post you selection in the nominee thread and everyone votes on it using reactions
- The games witht the highest total reactions will make the final Top 10 list for that system
- Multiple users can nominate the same game, which will increase that game's overall score
- The nominees witht the highest score by the end of a week or so will be taken to a followup thread where we vote on their placing for the list
- Once everything is settled, I set to work making another page like the ones pictured above, and we move onto the next console
Reactions that will count for score:

Reactions that won't count for score:

If any of this feels too complicated or uninteresting, I have a much simpler thread that you can contribute to.
Now, after a month of dicking around, let's get back to the The Officially Unofficial RGT Forums Best of the Best Game List for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System!
