Another weird forum story I have was with a user asking me my thoughts on elden ring, told him I wasn’t a fan and that was apparently enough for him to justify a block despite months of friendly interactions, kinda childish to flip the switch like that.

For me the jank is either so broken and thrown together that its bad and i find that fun. Which I totally get why someone wouldn't enjoy that. But on the other hand I think there's a lot of game devs who used the jank to their advantage or at least made it apart of the game. Resident Evil controls make it such a big part of the horror. Especially in 2, I think it forces you to be a rookie not really sure what he's doing with how clunky everything feels. Puts you into the shoes of the MC in a way a game with fluid controls really can't imo. Other games the controls don't really hinder anything just cause of how its set up. Turn based RPGs are a good example.
But also I think even with RE being the way it is, a lot of people were a lot more used to games with this sort of jank. 3d was more or less newish and I think more people were used to games feeling kinda weird or just horrible. Or it was a new experience to even control in 3d in the first place for some people. Now we've all played games where cameras aren't limited by anything and movement can be extremely direct and fluid.
Very decent RPG, i think they might got a little carry away by the plethora of dialogues and the endless world building they friggin throw at your face
Some chapters are really almost a VN and the main plot feels more like an optional quest all the time, maybe except at the end.
Decent cast of characters, interesting music, nice choice to make the "villians" in this game more like a concept, in this case "corruption" or at least is how i perceive this. The mechanics are the same from the previous entries, so nothing important here. On normal mode is very easy, you can expect like two difficulty spikes.
After the third game i thought Renne would be less idiotic, but it seems like SHE'S GOING TO BE LESS IDIOTIC IN LATER GAMES FROM WHAT I SAW AT THE END, THANKS AIDIOS FOR THIS
In my Jiggly personal opinion this games doesn't need the third entry to understand like 98% of the plot, but you really need to play 1 and 2 or else you will be lost by the OCEAN of information they constantly poop here.
2 game still my favorite, i think is the best for now, Liberl circumstances keep permeating even this new region of Crossbell in this Trails From Zero, that should be called Trails From Zero TO MILLIONS OF DIALOGUES , and i'm really glad they stop naming Cassius Bright once for all
I really had high hopes for this game, but dropped it after the black market auction part of the game.
It was an interesting setup where you could have been put in a situation without your tools and weapons but you just end up whipping your work clothes and weapons the moment you find the girl and the danger is gone. Perhaps i'm expecting too much, but I think it was a chance to do something a bit different. *sigh* Elie MacDowell is nice.
NEW 3DS XL. I have been slowly repairing a faulty one I got. Finally got my replacement bottom screen and begun reassembly. Was the engineer responsible for the sheer number of ribbon cables have some kinda ribbon\tentacle fetish? They are everywhere and are a pain to put back in place. May he gag on spicy noodle broth.
The replacement screens are not "new", just salvaged parts from the looks of it. The one I got suddenly had a tear in the data ribbon cable.
Do you see it? Right there.
THERE.
So damn close to the lines, I carefully put some tape on the nic to try and keep it together.
Thankfully the unit powered on and both screens are good. The brand new circle pad I fitted is faulty though so .

Well, yeah, i wasn't expecting something that different in that chapter because i had the feeling that they were giving that to me with the story. In fact if doing anything different there implies more dialogue, i would send fake Mira and Sepith to Falcom
I had a lot of empathy towards Tio Plato once you know her background

I have moderated a few forums in my time and that is truly when you see just how petty and childish people are, it’s more than you even think just as a regular poster cuz you don’t see the behind the scenes stuff.
I don’t understand why people want to be that way, everyone has their own opinions, just be a mature adult about it. It’s incredibly lame when someone thinks only their opinions matter. To not associate with someone anymore cuz theirs is different….yikes. That’s a sad individual to resort to blocking.

That guy sucked, I eventually found out how often he blocks people who don’t meet his criteria of a perfect convo, he doesn’t just want people agreeing with him but wanted to be showered with praise on every turn and I simply didn’t wanna feed into that any further.

Sorry you had to go through that, especially from someone who was fine with you before but garbage people always find a way to weed themselves out so you’re better off without that mess of a human
Obvious not. Since I am still here. I only seem to fall asleep when I
put my breakfast I the oven to warm up and set my timer, the sit down.
All of a sudden my phone goes off and wakes me up. I look at the phone,
my timer alarm has been going off for an hour and 45 minutes. Luckly no
smoke or fire. But breakfast...
