Now this was quite the pleasant surprise, especially considering the spiteful animated turd that we got in recent history..

I watched a few episodes when I was super-young, and I absolutely love the Skeletor facts memes, but the show was otherwise a few years before my time. So, although I didn't exactly grow up with He-Man, it always makes me happy when a beloved legacy IP is adapted with respect to the source material..
Is it perfect? Obviously not, but then again, the original cartoon wasn't either... and that's okay..

Have any of you watched it yourself? What did you think? Do you agree with the synopsis? Did you love it, or do you think it's terrible? (Or are you going to ignore everything and be guilty of the 'Genetic fallacy'? lol)

I am surprised by this. I haven't watched it yet but even with it's hyper-realistic, Marvel-looking CGI and the fact Jared Lego doesn't do the Skeletor voice, I still wanted to go watch it. I'm surprised to hear good things about it, I was expecting more of a "so bad that it's good" review.
Anyways, I guess this is a reason for me to go see it sooner.

Still don't know why they even had to have the contemporary Earth segments, that parts going to forever bother me like a hangnail.

Does Jared Leto do the "Remember, (insert advice here) Until we meet again!" line?

I'm trying to set my expectations low, but I hope I agree with you.
I loved He-Man when I was a very young kid. Its one of the first things I remember watching on TV other than Care Bears.
Battlecat was my favorite

I cant wait for some to say that the characters lacks the muscles they had in the show.... when both males and females characters had like 3 or 4 body types for the sake of making toys models easier to modify and reduce cost

For now it looks good. They actually managed to make He-Man costume looks like it should work in battle

The question is if they will keep the humor or go for something else

Also, they better add at the end of the movie one of those "Remember"

Sure, why not, lol. I hope it does amazing at the box office. I'd love to see what a film based on an 1980's franchise designed to sell action figures does to Hollywood execs. Is this how I finally get my M.A.S.K. and/or Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors film adaptions?

i saw it last night - its an easy watch , barely has a story though - skeletor talks way too much but he's alright ( not as good as frank langella ) its not expected to be a box office a hit and thats a pity because i could definitely watch more. the franchise has so many characters and the ones they have are just wasted in cameos. the actress who played "evil lynn" is just awful - "meg foster" done a much better job playing that role the 1987 film

anyone who has children should be ashamed - you should have taken your kids to see this , the movie isn't perfect but its really decent . i am actually shocked that its not doing that well - its definitely better then most of the marvel rubbish.
