Xbox only needs to focus on making good games, yet they can't even deliver that anymore. I have every console they put out, multiple times. My accounts have thousands of games.

I won't buy game pass again, and it's not due to the price increase. It's them praising fucking murder on social media.

I'm done with them. Bethesda and Blizzard can rot.

Starfield being the most boring and bland piece of shit software ever created didn't help any.

It seemed like they were turning things around with Xbox One X. More powerful than PS4 Pro, they introduced backwards compatibility with increased resolutions and framerates, etc., and then things were looking promising in the early days of Xbox Series X, and then everything seemed to go south after Halo Infinite failed to live up to expectations. Since then, it's been mistake after mistake.

Nintendo somehow wins again, despite all their stupid business practices and mistakes, simply because somehow their competitors make even worse decisions and mistakes.

Being real though, Xbox failing has been a thing for a long while now and its only getting worse for them. They raise the price of gamepass, release most of their new games on pc now and classic/360 xbox modding and emulation has never been easier. The only real reason people would buy an xbox over a PC these days is price and convenience, although even that is slowly going away in the hardcore gaming crowd.

This ad/slogan makes perfect sense technically, but it's such an incredibly dumb way to phrase it just brand-wise, and absolutely deserved the ridicule.
Anyone with a brain knows that it'll make people who are deep into the ecosystem of the console feel swept under the rug, and nobody who is a PC gamer, even if they happen to mainly use Gamepass, are going to start calling their PC an Xbox.

It's nothing but masturbatory.

I think they'd like you to believe it whether they do or not, or they wouldn't have had this initiative go forward. I agree that it's misguided, that said I do think Nintendo could do a similar concept to greater success.

I've thought this for years and still hold out hope we'll see a nice big industry collapse on a scale we've never seen just to try and get some sort of reset on the entire gaming sphere. It won't happen completely since there's so many avenues and options (PC and mobile being practically different worlds of the same industry for example) but I can see Xbox and Playstation hitting the gutter sooner rather than later if Steam OS or Steam Machine 2.0's start to pop up.

They say, "This is an xbox" But I still can't play my OG and 360 library of games on my Windows PCs.

It's what needs to happen. They have the resources, and are better than anybody at emulation and software.
