The backlog

I do have like a big backlog of games But I just focus on what games I'm down on playing long-term like any other RPG out there or games I know that won't take too long like a platformer. I have slowed my backlog increase thankfully but it's still a big one nonetheless.

Too busy dying

::lurkingyou're not allowed, so stop it

As for my backlog, I'm old so it's gigantic with things I've picked up and forgotten about or just never clicked with me and I will return at some point. But once I have it, I have it, so I don't stress about it. As far as what's keeping me from getting to it, I just moved 1200 miles and am trying to sort out my dad's affairs and maybe I'm keeping this house and maybe I'm not, so figuring out a lot of life stuff and a ton of cleaning/repairing/etc.

I'm still making time to play some, but there's no one else here to help me do this stuff, so I can't just sink 12 hours a day into a game right now. But eventually!

being an rpg fan sucks sometimes cause the games can take up to 80 hours and you can only play a few hours every week.
i remember taking like 5 months to beat resonance of fate. i still enjoyed it a lot i fucking love the game but i didnt play anything else for those 5 months because every time i had a few hours to play i just used them to make small progress sessions.

(i still do this)
((i will always defend the long games club))

I love RPGs, but yeah, sometimes they can take a while to finish, even if you know what you're doing @w@
Take Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth for example, my first playthrough (the Vita version) took 100 hours, my second playthrough (the PC version) took 70.

But honestly, I think the worst case of "I TOOK WAY TOO LONG TO FINISH THIS GAME" was Final Fantasy Dimensions, I actually played it on my Vita and it took like, almost a year for me to finish that game! It's not that long, but it still took a while because of other things in my life getting in the way of my playthrough ç.ç

Btw Final Fantasy Dimensions is amazing, I love it, and I wish Square released it on PCs.

(I will always defend the long games club too xD)

Constantly, I'm forever grateful for web places like this but it just makes me keeping on adding games to my backlog lol
I use a Excel sheet myself, it's might useful to remember which games I played, which games I dropped, and which hacks/mods I already played. Just keeping the list organized makes me happy xD

black mesa is great
killer is dead is great

what are you currently playing?
Finished Citizen Sleeper 2 recently, I'll probably be working on finishing Phantom Doctrine next, but most of my gaming time has turned into translation time recently. I'll see if I can keep up the pace and motivation haha

Truly a special game haha, I remember New Dawn looking quite cool when it came out, but I never got around to trying it.
Unless you like the post-apocalyptic genre you wouldn't like the game because all the reasons people disliked the game for are understandable:

- The whole game is a broken reflection of Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 5. You are stuck in some place and your enemy is some crazy people but this time they are twin women. Don't expect much because it's like a bad spin-off generic Ubisoft rubbish.

- The lore of the game doesn't make sense so it's BS video game logic. The game really doesn't seem like a post-apocalyptic game. IDK why they didn't use this theme for art direction, instead they gone for "punk" theme that doesn't really make sense when game doesn't have an urban setting.

- World design is like kindergarten design. They just bashed lots of colors everywhere. NPCs were like "we can't even find food so let's waste our life sprey paint everywhere" lol.

However it's a Far Cry game so it still has to generic Far Cry fun and personally liked it way more than 3rd, 4th and 5th games. Still no Far Cry can be better than my beloved 2nd game!!!! lol

I use Backloggd myself but at size I'm currently at an Excel sheet might be faster...

i only played 3, blood dragon and 5. i liked 5 the most but i played all of it co op with a friend. as a singleplayer experience i found it lacking but as a co op experience it was really fun.

i tried playing far cry 6 with the same friend but we stopped after i asked to because i could not STAND how garbage the gun designs were. i can forgive a braindead plot with trash characters, i dont mind as long as the game is fun. but the guns were so ugly to look at i had to stop playing i was just not enjoying it at all. goofy ahhh homemade scopes.

EiHi good morning, how was I going to respond? A game reached 340 that you didn't see.

my back log is big because am an idiot that procrastinate. When I have free time play games instead of trying to beat FF3 I had for years on steam now or Play Stalker 2 or Lords of the Fallen or Anno 1503 I bean meaning to play for years. What I do instead if I start what ever game I feel like and never ending game like Ark or conan Exiles or Palworld or I start up one of my 22 mmo games I have or replay Fallout 4 for the millionth time.

It´s just school all over again I have a hard time starting anything but once I do Im almost stuck in it so I end up doing what ever random shit instead of starting what I should start like beating Final fantasy 3 or Anno 1503.

I hate my self for it.

EiHey bro don't hate yourself you are a good person I consider you a friend a thumbs up for you God bless you if you want to play someday with me online just say that I only have a good cell phone to play d

Come on, don't beat yourself up for it. Do whatever when you are in the mood for. This ain't a job!!!

true but it feels like a waste buying games and just get stuck in a damn mmo games I hate to say it but I enjoy playing Black desert working towards my goals it´s fun until I see my 583 games owned and 75 games wishlisted.

You get like a feeling of dread how many games you have but not even touched.

EUI rarely, young, that I have a lot of games that I don't use, zero or anything that I bought, I never played Resident Evil, the truth If you want to give me a recommendation for games that have a demo for PS4 so I can check them out, just let me know.

No worries. You will play them eventually!!!!

i know the feeling. but there's nothing wrong with being an mmo player, though i'd stop paying for games i wont play lol.
its like broski said, this aint a job. play whatever you want to whenever you want to, gaming isnt a race.

im on the other side of the fence, i started a bunch of mmos but after a few hours i just think "nah this is gonna take a lot of my time to make decent progress" so i quit and go back to my singleplayer games.

EUI never played classic computer games that was at the time I never played Club Penguin and others that I was very young and I also didn't have a computer I am from a lower class family

I wish when you hit 40 you start to wonder will I be able to play them all as new games keep coming and you see them and you go oooh I wanna play >.<
Well I feel the same with my "to do" list but then my logic of "no point to do them if I'm not in the mood for it anyway" causes counter-effect to cancel out that feeling because my point for doing them is for fun so no point to do them if it won't be fun for not being in the mood for it lol.

i feel like we all in latam are lower class when it comes to gaming.
this is why its so cool to have a job and no gf, you can just buy games and better pc parts.
