Does anyone else keep adding games to the backlog because they dont have time to play as much as they wish they could? Are you busy with work? College? Entertaining the social life you dont really want to?
This is a thread to talk about the reasons you're not able to play as much as you want to at the moment, what you want to play once you have time again and making small progress here and there when time allows it.

Im into JRPGs so i try to stick to one single game at a time and keep pushing through it in 2 to 3 hour sessions every other day whenever im done with uni stuff and on weekend nights after work.

the backlog keeps growing because i keep finding games i want to play, and there's not enough in the way to keep me from getting them. if anything im just enabled to get games.

if you like playing casually you could try rythm games tho idk which ones are on ps4 other than project diva(very fun game)
cause you can play a bit then do whatever then come back and play a few songs again and so on.

I have lots to play but during weekdays I don't have much energy to play games these days, well especially after wednesday I'm fucked. But then I mostly waste my weekend for other hobbies. The BS is I grind my other hobbies during weekday so I can have time to play games for weekend but that weekend doesn't often comes. I constantly find something to do like today I spent my entire free time making Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor 1 wallpaper for my phone just because I liked the game so far and then I YM2612 remixed one of my old music, and I have lots to do in my "to do list". Now I'm gonna sleep and damn fuck fridays!!!

Sure. I played it way before I played the 3rd which is why I even tried 3rd and loved it.

As for New Dawn I'm just a sucker for post-apocalyptic games, and this time a video game managed to offer decent men's fashion option for our player character!!! lolol

how's it over there with the game prices? im from argentinaland and under the previous mandate buying games both physically and digitally became near impossible due to taxes. Since then things have improved enourmously for gamers and i'd say games arent as expensive unless you're buying a AAA game which is to be expected.

for reference at one point three years ago you had to pay an additional 155% tax on steam for games, while at the moment its set on 21% with a tax they're planning on removing so we can pay 1:1 prices after conversion.

I don't really believe in the backlog. I just play whatever I feel like, I'd never want to force myself to beat a game in order to play another one because to me it sounds like I would risk draining the fun from both games by making it into a chore.

what taxes are you guys charged with? i tried googling but didnt find anything. over here currently they only charge an IVA tax. if im not mistaken the taxes they removed included the digital purchase tax, the card payment tax, the purchasing a foreign product tax and a tax for simply buying whatever.

again, gamers havent had a victory like the last two years of progress since the 90s introducing the ps1 over here.

I don't really believe in the backlog. I just play whatever I feel like, I'd never want to force myself to beat a game in order to play another one because to me it sounds like I would risk draining the fun from both games by making it into a chore.

i think like this for multiplayer games. i have friends who want to play certain games just to beat them while i argue we should just play whatever we feel like since its more about playing with friends than beating a game just so you can delete it.

still, i dont think we talk about beating games just to beat them when we talk about the backlog. we can play at our own rhythm while still adding games to play in the future cause realistically games come out faster than we can beat them.

Quais são os impostos cobrados de vocês? Tentei pesquisar no Google, mas não encontrei nada. Atualmente, aqui, eles cobram apenas o IVA. Eu penso assim para jogos multiplayer. Tenho amigos que querem jogar certos jogos só para zerá-los, enquanto eu argumento que deveríamos jogar o que tivermos vontade, já que é mais sobre jogar com amigos do que zerar um jogo só para poder excluí-lo.

ainda assim, não acho que falamos sobre terminar jogos apenas por terminar quando falamos sobre o backlog. Podemos jogar em nosso próprio ritmo e ainda adicionar jogos para jogar no futuro porque, realisticamente, os jogos saem mais rápido do que podemos terminá-los.

Sometimes I take ages to beat certain games, ngl. Because of my work, my college, my projects (like the YouTube channel), I can take a while to actually finish certain games, RPGs being the worst offender ç.ç

being an rpg fan sucks sometimes cause the games can take up to 80 hours and you can only play a few hours every week.
i remember taking like 5 months to beat resonance of fate. i still enjoyed it a lot i fucking love the game but i didnt play anything else for those 5 months because every time i had a few hours to play i just used them to make small progress sessions.
