An extensive hack that improves the game in several ways, like having better text formatting for combat messages, longer, more descriptive names for magic and equipment, greater UI icon variety, NPC text corrections and even music track restoration, creating an excellent vanilla plus experience.

What is the best hack with better translation, qol and such for this game in your opinion people? There's a ton of "reduxxes" for this game...
I'd say A New Class or 7th Saga Plus. Edited Edition (brilliant name, ain't it) is more like a vanilla plus with a bit of restoration work rather than a redesign. I hope in the future people use this hack as a base for a wide rebalance attempt.

For your consideration,
I cleaned up the logo and added the Edited Edition banner, also added a nod to the person who did the work (Cullix) and my personal Hacked approved logo. Not a lot of work on my half just some clean up and some add-ons.

For Private and retrogametalk use only please, as this is my personal emulator covers I make for myself. I only share and post here.
Excellent work. Added and credited.

I played this game on the Super Nintendo console, the American version is very difficult, the ending is a infinite bucle. What a great time!♥️👍😄 thanks

Remember that this is one of the most difficult titles on the console; perhaps it's best to start with one of the hacked versions from the forum and try this one later.
It's not "difficult." It's just plain bugged.

Yeah I got a physical copy of this about two years ago and played it last year. The US version is not particularly good at all and I'm surprised I beat it. It did have good music and some cool sprites but man was the gameplay rough. The New Class hack might be the most interesting way to play it since it changes the gameplay a lot though. The vanilla gameplay is not great regardless of region.
I've thought about trying that one, too. The game could really use something that requires more strategy than the base game. There are really cool ideas, but they don't feel completely thought out, like the other playable characters turning on you and trying to take your runes.

Beat this game earlier this year. It has cool enemies and battle animations, and the music is nice and atmospheric. It's also boring as sin and really easy (if you're not playing with the horrible US changes).
