people who roleplay, what's your Nerevarine like?

what do they think of Azura, Dagoth Ur, Nerevar, Tribunal? maybe they even think differently of each of Tribunal members?

do they have conflicted feelings about this or they are confident about their views?

what do they think of being a reincarnation? do they believe it, doubt it, accept it?

i'm having problems with roleplaying to be honest, because i can't see the MC as its own character, and not the vessel for me to explore the world, lol. so i thought maybe i could ask about yours instead! :D

A High-Elf born under the sign of the Atronach, sitting around Balmora crafting potions from Racer Plumes and Trama Roots and selling them until finally becoming a master alchemist.
She jumps everywhere she goes, and in short time becomes a master of acrobatics, and wields a Demon Tanto.

This is how I always play Morrowind. 😅

Maybe this is just me coping with trying to be shoved into a character but I always interpreted it as more of a honorary title rather than you being literally nerevar reborn. Basically just Azura deeming you worthy of the name of lord nerevar.
I think Morrowind does a great job of giving you freedom to be your own character instead of kicking you around the continent being told you're THE chosen one doing chosen one things btw. Practically everyone just goes "interesting story but I really don't care" about your quest to be nicknamed nerevarine, until you kill Dagoth. The world feels really indifferent towards you and I love it.

Hmm, I remember being sceptical of this prophecy BS so I wasn't buying it but then many aspect of the game made it clear you are indeed the reincarnation of an expected person, something akin to Indian legends lol.

However, the big "however" point is the whole story of the game feels so flat for me. All the prophecy from a god and a sense of destiny is only about a crazy dude who trying to dominate Morrowind in his underwear ayyy lmao. I had to take the whole game as a meme. So if Morrowind was realistic I would just get out of the Morrowind by saying "it's a you problem" lol.

Then I have explored the world of Morrowind, I determined there were tons of people way better than me who can beat this lunatic in underwear and I didn't think they would have to physically go to him and put an axe or something on his head.

The sense of magic in the game is very American, it's no different than shooting. British sense of magic makes sense more. You can cast a spell so no matter where that person is in the universe you can kill them by using tons of curses. The irony of Morrowind is there are tons of gods like some Indian fantasy who are really part of the world so they can interact with the realm mortals living but unlike Indian gods and goddesses they cannot just kill a person. This is rather a nonsense plot BS that's against many religions. It's American logic to believe you have to go to a person to kill them lololol. And American games filled with a higher power giving you an order so you have to do it, man or else lol. So the game desperately tries to justify why no other person but only you can do it is because the big evil is in an area filled with something like coronavirus but they couldn't invent gas mask but you are so chosen coronavirus cannot effect you lololol. Yet again, IDK why wizards couldn't do something about it too, but it been so long I don't remember details to deal with BS of Morrowind.

Story mode was bad but rest of the game was good at least. My favorite hobby in Morrowind other than exploring really cool places was going half naked so I can jump from one far side of Balmora to the other far side of Balmora lololol.

a breton with glass armor and blinding boots of speed
likes to run around and jumping from one building to the next in viviec city

My Nerevarine is a spear-wielding Argonian.

An Orc barbarian who was a prisoner and boxer in the Imperial City before being shipped off to Morrowind under the Emperor's orders. A violent drunkard gambler, he was initially uninterested in his duty and spent a lot of time rebelling against the ordrers given to him, but after a few close encounters with the house unmourned and since he is deep down a good-hearted man he eventually came to see the plight of the people of Morrowind and worked with Caius Cosades even if he didn't believe in the prophecy for a good long time. It also helped that he was smitten with Mehra Milo after meeting her and willing to put aside some of his gruff nature. Eventually became a big damn hero but was alleged to have died in the eruption of the Red Mountain but actually survived and somehow ended up on the shores of Dagon Fel, which is where he is until I decide to go play the expacs.

My reading of it was always that its something both true and untrue at the same time, which the game does a lot of with its themes of duality and contradiction. Your character isn't literally the Nerevar incarnate, but by fulfilling the necessary aspects of the prophecy they become the Nerevar incarnate. It's why it's meaningful to see all the failed incarnates at the shrine of Azura - they had no less or no more claim than your character until your character managed what they could not in their lives.
