Real Talk though: I assumed the upgrades would be paid, but they were coy to not tell us if they were going to be discounted if you already own the game or not.

Thankfully for me personally, I don't really own any of those games aside from BotW, and I put off playing Tears of the Kingdom specifically to gamble it getting an upgrade for Switch 2.

I had a good time watching. Don't think I'm going to buy it right away. Especially with the $450 price and it seems Mario Kart World is going to be $80. I expected it to be at least $400 but I did not expect the game price to go up that much.

From the leaked specs it seems like it'll run slightly worse than the deck, not too bad. The deck has more ram but other than that the other specs are pretty much around the same. The switch is probably going to be better optimized since the game are made around it.

Did they say that there was amiibo support? I might have missed it, if so than that's sick. I'm hoping for maybe cross play but wouldn't be shocked if there weren't any.

$80 and $90 physical games. Nintendo's f'ing lost it. I'm out for now, I think. Nintendo games aren't exactly pushing tech like $70 PS5 games.

You make zero sense. The 3DS display isn't known to work at higher resolutions or that screen size. Literally no one wants that.

The Switch emulator is full of bugs and a lot of games run like crap. Do people ever play more than 5 minutes on that thing?

With that said, I'm disappointed in the first party titles. Super Mario Odyssey and Zelda sold me on the original. Nothing looks that exciting this time around. With prices going up Nintendo is alienating a lot of their core audience.

Soooo many ports. Most of these people have already played. Unless you only own a Switch then these are for you. I like the third party exclusives being announced but it's nothing really exciting. Hopefully more will get announced later. I'm also hoping Nintendo has more first party stuff to announce before launch.

As for the system itself. No OLED is a shock. It's a deal breaker for some people at that price point. 4K 60 or 1080p 120fps is nice but people don't seem to realize you need a 120hz TV to utilize that in docked mode. It's going to cause a lot of confusion. Is there a VRR mode as well? That would be nice.
