Stormlight Archive romhacks?

If you've got something interesting to say about the contents of the book series or how it could translate well into games then great, let's hear it. But if this is just gonna descend into political pandering and tired buzz words, then it's a no from me dawg.

Am i the only one who read both Animorphs and Harry Potter growing up without making them political? Because it really sounds like I am. o.o

you're in for a frakking roller-coaster of emotions and ass-kicking battle scenes. He's got his Cosmere Universe which is where most of his Fantasy stuff takes place. They're all connected at some point, mostly in Storm Light Archive and I can give you a read order if you're interested.

The Reckoners is it's own trilogy not set in the Cosmere. Basically one morning a Red Star shows up and a bunch of people get super powers...then immediately start the subjugation of non-poweres people. Great book series.

No idea what this "Woke Virus" is but since he started the Storm light Archive there's always been a gay character here and there. One of the big characters mentions early in the books that they've never felt comfortable around females romantically and the pay off is in book 5. It's great I think you'll love it. And most people here would I think

I the obvious Politics involved in HP aside i never got anything overly political. Just some magical asshole wanting to kill a bunch of normies. I mean of thats political every fantasy book with an evil emperor is a political shaming series. We have 1984 and Fahrenheit 451 for that.

I'll never get the political debate that goes on with Animorphs. It was an awesome series about kids fighting aliens while turning into animals.

I'm right there with you brother

Harry Potter books are very popular and therefore always were subject of so many misunderstandings that many people found a reason to label the books and therefore its writer "evil" and tons of things by trying to distort what the books are about even when the books actually supports the opposite of what these idiots believe it does lol. In the end people hate the books for no reason, or they don't see its point at all.

However Harry Potter naturally has a political undertone but they are mostly elements for world building to make even world of wizard and witches become a human world that real life situations also valid in their world too, but people would like to see Harry Potter books as subtle mockery of the government, something akin to Animal Farm lol. Some even saw the books as a way to destroy Christianity lolol!!! For example I even saw a guy on Twitter who claims he is Oxford alumni said the writer is fascist because she glorified this "pure-blood" thingy... He didn't understand what the book is about at all. I shit on Oxford diploma lolol.

In the end all the books are about synthesis of good old already known Northern European legends in storylized format and it takes place in a modern world and that's it. People speak of words to cast a spell, tons of generic creatures, simple school setting, writer was interested to write a book about so many characters and their personality development, she likes the way how "people are not like how they seem like" via Snape and Dumbledore characters as prime examples and all. In the end she enjoyed emulating these characters in such a simulation in such a fictional world and that's it. But there are undeniable unrealism regarding gender of people which can offend boys and men which is only because she is a writer, not a psychologist despite she is very interested about people than most people does. Her unrealistic male characters are just because of she suck at writing realistic male characters and that's it lol. However people would like to ignorantly call the writer a sexist because of it despite she has no such intention whatsoever. I would say despite overall she cares about writing stories that make sense and therefore characters being "realistic" all she actually cares about is creating interesting characters that can exist in real life.

Good versus evil has existed in all kinds of stories from around the world. It's all about how exciting the story is.

And Harry Potter books are more than that though.

Beyond enjoying Northern European legends or "good versus evil" or betrayal, or manipulation or wicked aspect of humanity the book is also about enjoying getting to know lots of characters and experiencing their choices in life. Harry Potter books does offer many ways to have fun with it.

While lots of people felt relation to the books due to its school setting and being about kids in a magical world, I even ignored the "Northern European Legends in modern settings" personally because beforehand I read a lot about Persian legends which I'm a fan of so Harry Potter was not a big deal. I honestly only cared about interesting characters and deep focus on their personalities which it's rare in books.

So another point in the book is there is no black and white POV on "good versus evil", we see characters to do good they do bad, and to do bad they ruin their own life and eventually feel like they should do good. For example is Voldemort an evil character? If you think he is evil perhaps you should read the books properly after you got old by 2 decades lol. One of the whole point of the books is no one is really good or bad which is realistic understanding of humanity so the story is not really about good vs evil, it's all about "power corrupts" if you have to find a simple understanding to summarize the whole story. In the end Voldemort's story is having da power that corrupted him, but he felt weak due to his mortality therefore all he did is not to be evil or bad guy but to be immortal. Instead of enjoying good vs evil story this story actually makes you enjoy the irony of a person does anything to be immortal but he never had a decent life he actually lived to begin with and then his actions ironically caused him to die. This point of the book is actually signalled in the first book plenty and gave answers on what kind of series Harry Potter is. Oh, Voldemort is undeniable evil by act alone but his point is not to be evil so he is not a simple generic "evil", and whoever against him not against him to be good. People just trying to survive yo lol because Voldemort would kill anything on the planet just to keep immortal but he had to be killed so "good" in the book choose to be necessary evil to destroy what Voldemort stands for.

The book also make you question if Voldemort would do evil shit if he had never learned there is hope for immortality which is actually the answer for if the book actually even have a point for "evil" vs "good". The book is not that binary nor simple.

No, but considering the world building and attention to detail, there's good material for games if said games are made with equal care, if you ask me.
Which would be bloody hard to do. The only thing I keep coming back to is a Musou type game where you run around as a Shard Bearer for one of the High Princes armies early in the Shattered Plains war. But that just seems like it would be cheap.

Maybe you could start as a Dark or Light eyes working your way up the rank to getting your own command on the Shattered Plains. Finally saying the first oath. It would be hard to keep the level of detail from the books. It would be cool seeing Spren flying around in a game though
