Started watching frieren. It's every bit as good as people say and then some.

I'm otherwise watching a bunch of series as new episodes come out each week.

I almost exclusively watch anime though, so this would be an indefinite list till the end of time, always have, even okay anime often has better writing than most western TV shows and movies.

I am also watching the Netflix sandman adaptation as I liked the comics many moons ago, it's quite faithful for the most part and everything turned out well, almost all the cast are amazing in their parts outside of a single casting choice I felt was poor because the character comes across as a school counsellor and not who they are meant to be.

I binged watched all of macross earlier in the year as I had not watched the later series despite it being my introduction to anime and it being my absolute favourite, followed by dragonball and evangelion.

I was a massive Gundam fan, but I am now the most casual of gundam fans.

I found this quite similar to "Kino no Tabi" (With each of the different countries having their own strange issues.) which was a good thing. It was pretty good overall though I found the ending to be somewhat lackluster. Mostly because certain elements of the story were never explained.

I'm midway through watching Monster for the first time, it's been on my backlog for ages

A ton of people told me the anime has awful pacing, but to be honest i'm hooked! Naoki Urasawa can write a damn good thriller.

I really enjoyed what I read of the manga, but I didn't end up finishing it. Never watched the anime either.

Watched this for the first time recently:
Very strange adaptation of Super Mario Bros. but quite enjoyable for what it's worth.
After that, I was in the mood to re-watch this:
Still has to be the best adaptation of Sonic ever put to screen.

Other than that, I've been keeping up with Yaiba and New Panty and Stocking which has been a lot of fun.

I started watching this anime waaay back when it came out, and it was really interesting but I didn't get to finish it. Now I kinda want to go back and try it again...

My most recently watched is Digimon Ghost Game. I put it on to trick some friends into watching Digimon things.

I'm watching City and Witch Watch, and recently finished rewatching Zeta Gundam

Kinnikuman. Had no idea this thing existed but pretty interesting.

Finished Le Chevalier D'Eon. I really enjoyed it, might be one of my favourite anime now. Some parts did feel a bit undercooked but never enough to detract from my enjoyment, except for the last episode. It felt a bit too ambitious, with not enough structure to really make the landing. Overall it’s a really beautiful, visually distinct piece of gothic historical drama with some killer action. Could have probably used an extra episode or two though. (A common thing for my favourite anime, seems I like em a little raw ::sailor-embarrassed )

I’m now moving onto Le Portrait de Petit Cossette

Finished Le Portrait de Petit Cossette. I enjoyed parts of it a lot, it was very visually impressive, and the story had parts I really jived with. But in the end it felt like it missed the point it was trying to make, and horribly at that. The ending reminded me of the ‘It’ miniseries finale. I was whole heartedly invested in the wonderful madness only to be let down by expecting the story about abuse to not redeem its abuser, badly at that!

Not really an Anime but an animated film, and its not exactly recent since its been about a month, maybe a little bit more, since I watched it.

But WHAT AN EXPERIENCE it was.

Its so good, so gutwrenching yet tender and the animation is so beautiful and flawless that I'm not sure if in the past it would've been an OVA or a feature film.

Its name is Makia: When the Promised Flower Blooms (2018).

I don't want to spoil it too much but its basically the story about a mother and her son in the middle of a war where the core element of the story is the fact that its like a reverse Jack (1996).

Now a couple of months before that I watched: Fena Pirate Princess (2021)

This one is a proper 12 episode anime and its about a teenage girl in the 18th Century that has to find a very important place for her that nobody knows where it is and in order to accomplish such task she only has a small crew consisting of handful of friends to help her against the many threats she will face along the way.

Alas I'm eagerly waiting for the release of the new series of Samurai Troopers next year but in the meantime I'm pretty sure I'll find something else to watch.

That horrible BlazBlue anime.

MT finished, kinda juggling Boruto and Silent Witch... I never expected to be watching Boruto of all things, I skipped it because it seemed... meh. But so far the beginning of it is nice.
Loving Silent Witch. It's really good, and I can't wait to finish it; while also dreading finishing it!
Mushoku Tensei is a masterpiece.

Silent Witch is on my list, but I am waiting until the end of the season to watch it. That's what I'm doing with a few anime at the moment

Seasonal stuff.
Sono Bisque Doll S2 (Not liking it, thinking of dropping the series if by the end it doesn't convince me).

GaCen Shoujo (Pretty meh, I expected something like Russiadere, not so much moe).

Hotel Inhumans (My favorite this season, I like the episodic approach and each killer is pretty unique).

Summer Pockets (Started alright, now... It just feels like a crap copy of Clannad, Key fell off since Rewrite).

Grand Blue S2 (Its funny, all it needs to be really).

Panty & Stockings S2 (More raunchy than S1, some episodes are hit or miss, but I always have low expectations with TRIGGER, so its fine).

Dr. Stone S4 P2 (Its alright).

Futari Solo Camp (I like the manga more (It has the recipes for the food), but it has been pretty faithful, so no complains).

Silent Witch (I like Monica, but, just another discount Mao Mao but more PG and with magic, its tolerable, if the romance was more prominent I would like it more).
