Thats exactly what I'm doing lolbe happy you enjoy the game and don't try to understand why others don't like it.
Idc if people don't like it. I dont get the hate but thats ok, they're allowed to hate it.

DS2 is hated because it along with DS3 are mechanically trash in comparison to DS1. They both have significantly less tactical options and builds. The options present don't work as well, either. Elden Ring is similarly shit on for its mechanical shortcomings. You'll also note the lack of bosses in DS1/Demon Souls that fly across the arena and one shot you with some AOE pyrotechnics display.I absolutely love Scholar of the First Sin!
I never understood why DS2 has a bad rep, except that rolling kind of sucks until you get your Agility to 99 or 100. Then it plays fine. Of course, in classic Dark Souls fashion this is not explained anywhere at all and you have to discuss it with other players directly or indirectly (ie look it up) to know this.
But I really love the story and lore bits in Dark Souls 2, and it has some of my favorite locations in the series.
I feel like in ER almost all bosses got that shit, heck, even crucible knights have that bsYou'll also note the lack of bosses in DS1/Demon Souls that fly across the arena and one shot you with some AOE pyrotechnics display.
Something seriously went wrong with the fantasy department in Fromsoftware. I basically find DS3/Sekiro/Elden Ring to be unplayable. I never played Bloodborne so I can't comment on it. AC6 was a nice return to form for them. Being playable, that is.I feel like in ER almost all bosses got that shit, heck, even crucible knights have that bs
I dropped ER on the final boss. That Erdtree best is just peak bs. I also broke my contoller on Mohg.Being playable, that is.

Idk, i will return to beat it. But really, the formula of souls games works for slow and methodical gameplay and Demon/Dark Souls are probably the best when it comes to this usage, whilst 2nd and 3rd did throw in fast bosses into the mix. Can't say for Bloodborne or Sekiro cuz i didn't play any of these sadlyWUT?! R U CASUL?!!!
I'm not too bad at supremely difficult games like Ninja Gaiden/Devil May Cry. And, Sekiro/Elden Ring still kick my ass. I think it's simply the style of control/game lay out isn't compatible with what is the equivalent of a Bullet Hell third person action game. I know there are people that can "rise to the occasion," and I can "as well." But, the actual reward/enjoyment factor involved in that process simply isn't there. The game is hard but it's not fun. Meanwhile I come back to Demon Souls and Dark Souls and it's like playing Eternal Ring or Kingsfeild with good gameplay and I'm immediately hooked. It's fun and hard.Idk, i will return to beat it. I was playing thru ds1 and its actually easy af if you have a working brain (Some aspects are still ass, like bed of chaos). I think most of the difficulty for Des and DS1 came from the fact that people playong weren't prepared for this type of gameplay + most people are kinda stupid and do mistakes often. Another thing easy about DS1 is black knight weapons, they make the game a cakewalk.Meanwhile I come back to Demon Souls and Dark Souls and it's like playing Eternal Ring or Kingsfeild with good gameplay and I'm immediately hooked. Unfortunately, it's stuck in Sony's dungeon, since sony owns the rights for itStill waiting for a Bloodborne remaster. Having it officially stucked on PS4 and running for only 30fps feels abysmal.
Replaying it and knowing all the secrets eases up the difficulty substantially. But, the point is what made the game good isn't that fact that it was hard, but good. As for ER, people were sayint that its the easiest game, when in fact its not. Its either people got used to evergrowing speed of soulsborne games or they are just masochists now.
In later games bosses are becoming fatter and fatter, tp the point that you gotta level other stats to be able to cast buffs on yourself. Pure STR/DEX Builds are dead in er, at least in regular gameplay.Replaying it and knowing all the secrets eases up the difficulty substantially. Problem with DS2/DS3. Fundamental elements in the past game are no longer functional because they're "too powerful" against the infinitely spammed blocks of effects that are passed off as bosses in those games. Passive defense is nerfed/removed too the point poise and the ability to tank damage isn't possible any longer. Then, raw damage from non effect weapons, then base line damage spells and ranged options. Eventually, you're left with a steaming pile of shit. And, as much as I like From's Art Direction. That isn't enough to make up for it.In later games bosses are becoming fatter and fatter, tp the point that you gotta level other stats to be able to cast buffs on yourself. Im betting that duskbloods will be even worse than ER in terms of balanceEventually, you're left with a steaming pile of shit. And, as much as I like From's Art Direction. That isn't enough to make up for it.

BB and Sek are much faster yet... But also the best of the FS games I've played.Idk, i will return to beat it. I think it's due to the fact that player characters are more mobile than usual, and that makes it kinda better, cuz since DeS characters have had pretty much the same movesetBB and Sek are much faster yet... But also the best of the FS games I've played.
DS2's saving grace is its hub. Majula channels some otherworldly energy.I'm a DS2 fan through and through, but I'd be lying if I said I liked Drangleic more than Lordran.
