The Playstation 5 is now halfway through its lifespan, the pro version has become quite expensive but the Playstation 6 could probably become even more expensive. I hope not but it will probably happen that Sony will certainly go over $1000. What do you think ??

People will just move to PC, its already a movement now then it was 10 years ago. We are a point where people arent buying these things day one anymore.

True, Sony practically caninblized their own market. Even ps3 emulation is getting better so they won’t be able to use that as a leg-up anymore.
If it's anything like the PS5, the PS6 will just be an oversized toaster that's less relevant than the Vita to me

The PS5 was already a step too far for me. I've dropped consoles this gen and I'd wager that if things keep going the direction they've been going more and more people are going to do so as well.

my ps5 was £650 back in 2021 and they were hard to get a hold of as well.
Sweetie, if I’m going to drop over a thousand bucks on a piece of electronics, it certainly won’t be a locked-down, proprietary OS video game console. Let's be real: if the PS5 is any indication, It’ll be stuck with a library of glorified HD-upscaled PS3 games, maybe a couple of PS2 classics thrown in for good measure. And don’t even get me started on the DLC microtransaction machines that Nintendo just shot out.
I mean, I only bought a PS4 this year, and that was just to mod it for playing PS3 games, because the PS3 is a slow, clunky boy that shouldn’t be allowed in polite company. Honestly, the PS4 isn’t much better. At this point, Sony should take a cue from Microsoft and let the Playstation Series gracefully exit stage left while they pivot to PC gaming. Because let's face it, that’s where the good stuff is.

Like I said sweetie, I only purchased a PS4 this year, mostly for the fun of modding it. I've played it a grand total of maybe 5 to 8 times. I snagged it at a pawn shop for about 70 bucks, and it came with a spare 1TB external SSD. Honestly, at that point, the SSD was worth more than the PS4 to me! XD
No way am I going to pay over 2000 bucks for a console (because all consoles and games are double the price in my country).
And they still have the audacity to make you pay a subscription for multiplayer.
Bizarre, isn't it? I mean, there's that Demon's Souls remake I suppose, but I genuinely can't think of a single other thing. And from what I've seen of it, it's debatable whether that game is even worth owning, for that matter!
aside the hd overhaul, and some QOL addins. its nothing more than a mod of the orig
if they where to drop it on PC. that thing would look like a PS7 game in a month, thanks to modders

Exactly! And hell, I absolutely loathe the artistic changes they made, so even that HD overhaul isn't appealing either.
Well to be fair to Bluepoint. they did give you the option to put it back on the old graphic style
Oh hey, I didn't know they did that - that's definitely a great inclusion on their part then! Still no system seller, but now I'm actually curious how that looks in motion, I'll have to look up some footage.
Only reason i even know that, is from The Backlogs <youtube> he mentioned it when he was doing a Challenge run on it
