I love this comment so much you have no idea.I have always found it kinda funny how Sony outclassed Nintendo on both genres that had been traditionally owned by the big N: platformers and RPGs.
Spyro is a delight, and Crash Bandicoot is just fun to pick up and play.
Nintendo did fall down comparatively on the 3D platformer front, but they will never be beaten in 2D platformers.I have always found it kinda funny how Sony outclassed Nintendo on both genres that had been traditionally owned by the big N: platformers and RPGs.
Yoooo! Pandemonium was among the first rentals I ended up buying, cuz I loved it so much.Nintendo did fall down comparatively on the 3D platformer front, but they will never be beaten in 2D platformers.
That said, Pandemonium for the win!

RPGs I'll definitely grant you (though I hear a lot of people praise Xenoblade Chronicles these days and I'm quite a fan of Paper Mario and Thousand Year Door), but platformers as well?I have always found it kinda funny how Sony outclassed Nintendo on both genres that had been traditionally owned by the big N: platformers and RPGs.

This isn’t a game.My favorite Sony Platformer is easily Jak and Daxter. I really love the artstyle they went for in Jak 2 and also that franchise had so many good voice actors for example David Herman as Errol in jak 2, 3 and Razer in Jak X
Man I love how expressive the models are

KLONOA!!!! *charges* ;DOh! And Klonoa too! That game had a really odd atmosphere - super cozy, but also weirdly foreboding.
Man if i didn’t limit myself to Sony owned IPs I would’ve added Klonoa in a heartbeat. Problem is if I didn’t limit myself, I’d spend all week working on that thumbnail. xDKLONOA!!!! *charges* ;D
I love that one. Such a fun and creative experience.

>Tfw no klonoa
I love Klonoa, I only added Sony owned IPs (or were owned by Sony at some point) because I knew I was gonna add every character under the sun (Rayman, croc, glover, jumping flash, gex, croc, Rockman dash, etc) and I had to limit myself>Tfw no klonoa
>sad wahoo
I don’t think you’re aloneI think out of all these, the only one I couldn't get into is Little Big Planet. It's kinda boring? Definitely has a very different spirit compared to their PS1~2 IPs. Haven't played TearAway yet though.
No need to suffer anymoreWhy are we still here…just to suffer
I dunno how I forgot about puppeteer. Good shout.Puppeteer deserves a remaster damnit! Fairly short print PS3 exclusive with minimal marketing that released right before the PS4 launched. One of the most polished and enjoyable platformers of that generation (or even the 2010s period if we wanna expand into the next generation) and so few have had a chance to properly play it!
I don’t think they’ll ever recover. They made TLOU their own call of duty.Crash 1-3, their best trilogy platform on PS1 imo. As well as a great racing game. Pity what happened to Naughty Dog nowadays.
