By 2028 will there even be any console exclusive games?
And honestly, is there any ps5 game that you want to own on a disc?
If you're scratching discs, that's a you issue, butter fingers.Discs are completely pointless,
every single game has updates, patches, and/or DLC at some point
physical copies won't be great since you need internet to connect to update.
idk man i don't understand physical copies anymore, i have like 500 ps4/5 games
i can't imagine having 500 game cases.
it was a pain when i had like 40 dreamcast games and like 300 PC CDs
i converted all of that into digital form. (kept the discs of course)
i'm very happy to have a digital library, and not messing with cases, scratching discs, and other BS that could happen.
You'll get even higher prices. PS6 games will be $80 across the board, perhaps climbing to $90 before the end of its generation.but you know what they should CUT DOWN THE PRICES since we no longer get physical copies or booklets or really anything real lol.
nintendo has some nerve with their empty "key cards" being 80$, god damn...
shit happens, i've never scratched a disc myselfIf you're scratching discs, that's a you issue, butter fingers.
isn't PC basically all digital by now? don't see how that changes things...WELP! This is the end for me in terms of Playstation. It was a long run, but I guess its time to transition completely to PC. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
It's pretty much impossible to scratch a Blu-ray disc unless you're physically trying to. It's fairly common that PS5 discs come loose during shipping and not once has one of those loose discs been scratched because of how scratch-resistant Blu-ray discs are.shit happens, i've never scratched a disc myself
i've purchased used games scratched to hell and it's just an annoyance to deal with, especially with CD game rentals. or borrowed from friends, or friends scratching MY discs (i never let people borrow my games after some... incidents back in dreamcast times)
it's a zero chance issue on digital copies is all i'm saying.
Yeah but Steam isn't going to close down in 20 years after like they are doing with PS3/PSVita stores. ITs officially over for a lot of Playstation users from one I seen on Twitter.isn't PC basically all digital by now? don't see how that changes things...
It's up to the third party publisher's choice, actual game cartridges are still sold on the console and the price are variable as well.nintendo has some nerve with their empty "key cards" being 80$, god damn...
huh, that's interesting, i just looked my few physical PS3 games, not a single tiny micro scratch on any single one, nice. It's pretty much impossible to scratch a Blu-ray disc unless you're physically trying to. It's fairly common that PS5 discs come loose during shipping and not once has one of those loose discs been scratched because of how scratch-resistant Blu-ray discs are.
Yep. I imagine we'll see stories like this but for games in the coming years. Time to own nothing and be happy, consoomers. The PS6 will be digital only...
(Vocal) online sentiment doesn't always translate into real world numbers.Yeah but Steam isn't going to close down in 20 years after like they are doing with PS3/PSVita stores. ITs officially over for a lot of Playstation users from one I seen on Twitter.
what? i just downloaded PS3 games a week ago on my PS3, pretty sure you just can't buy new games or content.Yeah but Steam isn't going to close down in 20 years after like they are doing with PS3/PSVita stores. ITs officially over for a lot of Playstation users from one I seen on Twitter.
