Sony's dumb decisions were a wake up call for it's customers to exit their closed ecosystem.
If they change course and cancel digital only, if they stop dynamic pricing, etc.

Will people crawl back on their knees and subscribe back to PS+?
Will they go back to eagerly wait for GTA6?
Will they go back to purchase a PS5 or PS6?

If the answer to these questions is a yes, then no one learned anything.
They fucked people over more than once and they will surely fuck people over again in the future.

I mean the jump from physical media seems sort of inevitable at this point but I'm glad they're being called out for using it as an excuse to screw people out of owning stuff they're paying full-price for. They want exclusive digital ownership for themselves, they better be ready to make everything free-to-play babaaay! lol

I'm not even that fond of the disc format but lessons in curbing corporate greed need to be handed out here. I think the gaming community generates far too much revenue to be treated like idiots and outcasts who will do whatever as long as they get their fix.

This is not a dig at PS5 owners or those who'll end up getting the 6 eventually but honestly, what is the appeal? it's not the same experience that got me hooked. Not the same games, not the same vibes. I'd be willing to support the brand if Sony could convince me they still give a crap but I think it's obvious they don't. It's 'shut up and give us your money, you know you want to'.
