Amazing gameplay and great controls! Just like the good old days, Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 plays as smoothly as in Super Mario Bros! You're a big Sonic fan, you really need to have this game! The only downside is that the game is a bit on the short side.

I remember at release, this game was generally well regarded as a return to form and such. Only later, people started bashing it and rightfully so. Pretty crappy game which was meant to be a throwaway mobile game but ended up being the 4th main entry of the franchise for whatever reason.
