Sonic The Hedgehog 2006 Is Two Decades Old

This year marks 20 years since SEGA sloppily released Sonic 2006... and I love it.

On that not, this video was recommended to me and I think it is the most honest look back review imo, the good, the bad, and everything in between

Despite the loading screens, the bugs, the difficulty and some cheesy moments, I actually enjoyed it, and still consider it as a flawed masterpiece that could have been a worthy Sonic Adventure 3, if only the developpers weren't under so much pressure to rush its release...
Expecting an official remaster might be a bit optimistic given its reputation, but let's hope at the very least that an unofficial project like P-06 gets completed soon enough...

sonic 06 is still one of the biggest 'what if's to me. you can tell there was a ton of love put into it early on, but due to many production problems it all fell apart. even so, i have a soft spot for this game.

I bought it the day it came out, was so excited thinking it'd be Sonic Adventure 3, and it was in many ways, but the janky gameplay and constant loading screens drove me mad.

It's a great thing we Project 06 now! It proves that Sonic 06 could've been good if it had more time in the oven.

My friend was convinced that it was a good game and I was wrong. He was in serious denial. And I wasn't even a hater or anything. It could've been a good game if the gameplay wasn't so broken. Honestly, I'd like to see Sega remake it since they seem more competent nowadays.
