I have one more for today. This game is very entertaining and in my opinion can keep up with Mario Kart. I guess Sonic wanted to find out how fast cars can be and the result is impressive !

I was interested in CrossWorlds but the demo really sucked. Then to make matters worse, Robotnik's Ring Racers finally released and all my remaining interest evaporated. That's the ultimate celebration of Sega's history right there. Hope people love CrossWorlds but I've been spoiled too hard now.

Was there a new update? I thought Ring Racers came out like a year ago and I didn't like it nearly as much as the original SRB2Kart

That's fair! They updated it a week after release to fix the rubberbanding AI and allow skipping the tutorial. But I think Ring Racers as a game concept is going to be love/hate for most people. It took me like 9-10 cups into the singleplayer before the mechanics really clicked. If you're in it for the pick up and play mayhem, you'll probably still prefer Kart. I can say that Ring Racers is leaps and bounds a better experience once you surpass the learning curve, but not everyone has the time or desire to invest doing so. And that's fine.

Oh! Important to note that I spent my first ~80 hours exclusively in singleplayer. They said they wanted to make a huge solo experience and boy did they deliver. There's so much to do there that even now I've barely touched multiplayer. But I feel like I would have bounced off the game had I jumped online immediately. It'd be hard to get better at the game with no idea what's going on. And on that note, I think the online manual does a better job explaining things than the ingame tutorial. Though the lore is still cute.

Call me crazy, but I like the Sonic racing games a lot more than Mario Kart. They feel far more about technical skill than rubberbanding and RNG, which is what kills Mario Kart for me.
