This is a FANTASTIC Mod for Sonic The Hedgehog (2013) which combines all the levels from both the 16bit and the 8bit levels of Sonic The Hedgehog (1991) in one package. Play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, or Metal Sonic. even the sonic prime characters don't talk!?
like, seriously COPY VOICE CLIPS FORM THE DAMN SHOW!
spongebob/patrick don't talk, Persona 5 joker doesn't talk, ichiban doesn't talk, like wtf...
it's absolute horsecrap and really ruins the characters, idc if they copy-pasted show/game voicelines, its better than ZERO voicelines.

At the end of the day the spring twirl has to be there in the menus elsewhere, i activated it somewhere. end of story.

There's also the SMS Sonic Remakes from Creative Araya, not sure if you'd like them posted here, they are truly expanded 8-bit Sonic.
I love those, especially the first, I shared them here for the Vita but not in the repo.

Because SEGA only cares to do the bare minimum, and also because unless it's a full on remake, they're wary of making too many changes and losing "the feel" of the classic releases unless it's the original game developers themselves pushing for those changes, and most don't even work at SEGA anymore.


"Mania Rotation" refers to the rotation of running sprites when going through a loop, as opposed to the old method of using different combinations of diagonal running frames.
Do you know how to remove the Spring Twirl CD?

You are correct, to be fair though the Sonic Advance Trilogy did this over a decade prior but yes you are correct.

Play around with the menus, I have it. use a gamers common instinct, tinker with stuff.

In fact, the Mania option does nothing; it doesn't remove that Sonic CD animation.

I think this mod removed the CD Spring Twirl option or changed its name because I can't find it...

Interesting take, but I would have preferred a 16-bit rendition of Sonic 8-Bit just like we had for Triple Trouble.
