i get the feeling that this going to be either a new game with ghosts in it or something that ties into an already existing series, like the mother series. the people who worked on the pikmin shorts worked on this, which would explain the pikmin vibes that people have been getting.

I'd argue this is them "doing the same thing" in the way Nintendo does things. I just see it as the logical next point Nintendo would pivot to.

That being said, Nintendo does kind of feel like they're kind of just grabbing around in the dark as of recent. Like they're not 100% sure what they're doing right now. Just kind of going along with wherever they're going.

Compared to Microsoft which at least has a solid, firm and unrelenting direction they're running Xbox: Right into the fucking ground .

no, they aren't. pikmin takes place on earth long after humans no longer live there, and it's implied that olimar's people are descended from humans; they got much smaller over a vast period of time.
